So of course I have been watching all the videos on YouTube and reviews online and the general consensus was that the Xs Max was light. However, now that I picked mine up I actually feel like it’s heavier then I was expecting.

Anybody that got theirs feels like this?

It's actually slightly heavier than 8 Plus and is Apple's heaviest iPhone yet, I think when people say it's 'light' they mean it's lighter than they expected.

It was my first impression: Waaah is it heavy.

iPhone 6 Plus was a leightweight. iPhone 6S Plus was heavier. And XS Max is heavier again. It‘s the glass back.

Yeah I’m holding my iPhone XS Max and my pinkie finger starts to feel sore. Need to start training those pinkie fingers!

It made heavier Gorilla glass 5 material on both sides along a stainless steel band.

Apple has clearly detailed every aspect of the iPhones, including weight on its website. How could any one say it was lighter than the X when the information is right there?

After several years of aluminum phones, steel will feel heavier.

STEEL vs Aluminum.

Glass as well. But primarily the steel. It's also very noticeable in the aluminum vs Steel Apple Watches.

Won’t get mine until later today. Is it heavy enough that it’ll be bothersome after say 5-10 minutes? These iPhone keep getting fatter and thicker like a chipotle burrito.

This phone is definitely heavy and screen is too big. Going to give it a few days. Might switch to the xs

I don’t think to the point that it will bother you after some time but that depends on you.

It’s the first time I felt like I want to downgrade to the smaller

That's disappointing. I remember the reviewers commenting on how much lighter it was than their recollection of the Plus models. If I used my old 7Plus too much, would thumb would go numb. That all stopped with the X, which is kind of the ideal size for screen and pocket and cupholder. Not sure why I went with the XS Plus...

This. This right here is why I'm glad I got the XS. It's only a gram or two heavier than the X and my x is fine.

Pixel 2 xl
Definitely a weight difference between the 2. I am in the wait-and-see camp. I have the 8 Plus. Historically, I have used Plus phones. I *want* the huge screen of the XSM but I have been growing tired of the BIG phone.

The 8 Plus is not a light phone, heavier than the previous Plus modes since it has the glass. I am not sure I want an even heavier phone.

I feel the same way. Part of me been wanting smaller form factor but battery and screen size keeps me going with big phones. Really good chance I’ll be switching to the xs.

This is what I was worried about

If you use a Loopy Case, you don't need to grip the phone at all. No tired fingers or grip. Impossible to drop it.
