Weren’t all the exterior specs available after the introduction?

If you find folks on YT making random claims it goes to show how serious you can take private reviews on social media versus pro journalists.

How long do you have to exchange an iPhone for a different model (i.e. XS Max to XS)? Can you just do that at the store? Asking for a friend...lol

It’s the first time I felt like I want to downgrade to the smaller

I suppose now that you have it you can give it a few days and see if it gets better/less noticeable. Keep us posted. But hey, it’s a win either way - you’ll either have a nice big screen or a less expensive and compact screen - both of which are best in market.

Maybe the XR will be the sweetspot for a bigger screen but lighter than the max? Im still waiting for my max delivery but if my pinky can't handle the weight I might have to exchange it for a xr.

Mine should be here soon. I’m coming from the 6S Plus. I’m sure I’ll get used to it - I don’t work out but walk a lot. LOL.

Almost same weight as Note 9. Note 9 didn’t appear to be too heavy to me given its size.

I think you guys are blowing this out of proportion. I wouldn’t say it’s a heavy phone it is just heavier than I thought it would be. I’ve been using it nonstop for about three hours and my hands are OK Lol

208g isn't a lot of weight and it's partially because of the size but also the use of stainless steel. Hopefully future iPhones won't be heavier. My Pixel 2 XL is 177grams but even that felt considerably heavier than the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus which was 153g.

I played with the Max and Xs today and will definitely get the Xs for my GF as the size wand weight of the Max will be too much for her. Other than that the Max has virtually the same footprint as my Pixel 2 so it's not too big.

So of course I have been watching all the videos on YouTube and reviews online and the general consensus was that the Xs Max was light. However, now that I picked mine up I actually feel like it’s heavier then I was expecting.

Anybody that got theirs feels like this?
It is heavier than my X. But lighter than my old plus phones. So I find it surprisingly light considering the size.

Lol, I’m calling a paramedic when I inbox just to be on standby in case I get a cramp from the weight. You’re saying that’s unnecessary?

I aways wanted the lightest phone and coming from the x to xs Max this was my concern but having it with me for the past 3 hours it is actually lighter than I expected and I did not find myself thinking of the weight at all...

Agreed, noticeable difference. The only thing I'm not loving about the Max. Hoping I won't even notice after a couple weeks, was the same with the first + I had.

I found the 8 Plus to be too heavy and ended up buying the X. It actually hurt my wrist after about ten minutes of holding it. I couldn’t imagine using the XS Max comfortably. I think a lot of people will be surprised by the weight.

20g heavier than my 7 Plus which I'm upgrading from.

Haven't opened the box yet (and the box does feel weighty!) but I am prepared for the weight jump, and yes, you should feel 20g difference on a light object, you're calibrated to that extent (I'm a bit of a weightweenie, weigh everything from bike parts to food :D)

Disappointed? I was a little bit when I checked the specs this week, but to get that big beautiful screen, well.. I'll take it. It's just lovely when you get a size increase AND a weight decrease. Godly.

I'd bet on the 11 dropping 10 grams.

It’s heavier than the 8 Plus but not significantly IMO. If I weren’t holding one in each hand I doubt I would even notice.

Well, I just received my new XS Max, and I'm glad I ordered it. No regrets here.

The form factor is different than my old iPhone 7 Plus, which seemed to have more bulk. The XS Max has the same form factor as my X. My hands aren't overly large, but the Max is still a one handed phone for most tasks. I can now appreciate what reviewers had to say about it not feeling as heavy as they thought it would be. The weighting and feel in the hand is just about perfect.

If I had ordered the regular XS (or just stayed with my existing X), I definitely would be coveting the XS Max and regretting not getting it.

Same I came from a 7 Plus and the weight of the box scared me lol but its a little shorter and you can kinda tell its a bit less wide given the aspect ratio. It actually feels good in my hand. something about the plus devices was just too wide and it made my hand hurt after like 5 mins holding. I'm not getting that with this. Adjusting to this screen ratio feels weird. it doesn't feel like a phone, more like i'm just carrying around this awesome screen. I had to get used to that. You'll love it, trust.

I'm coming back to Apple after a year off with a Note 8 (which is a great phone, btw), and my Max is very heavy compared to what I expected and what I'm used to. I don't really like it that much right now, but I've barely had it so I just gotta give it time.
