My XS Max is stuttering and lagging and the animations are very , but very slow ... What's happening :( with each version of iOS is getting worse and worse .. is there any tips or tricks to fix it ?

Weird. I have a new 256GB Gold XS Max, now on 12.1.4, and don't see this issue. I've read through the entire thread and have tried to replicate the issue with different browsers and more than 30 apps but it doesn't occur. No stuttering, no lag.

New XS 256, iOS 12.1.4 - same issue, after 10+ seconds idle - stuttering (first move - scroll, swipe to home screen etc). Very disappointing.

The thing is it’s been five months already since the xs and xs max were released. Apple would have been done something by now, if it wanted to. And yes, they know about it because people here opened cases with Apple regarding this with videos attached that clearly show the problem.
But everybody these days are consuming fb, Youtube, Twitter etc. and until this issue goes mainstream on social media I think we are stuck on this thread that only a few dozen are reading. And we all know that Apple only fixes things if they are blown over the internet.

The problem is, most people either don’t understand or they don’t simply care about this stuttering issue...specially if they have just moved to iOS from android which is full of such issues. I’ve been searching for a solution ever since I got my Xs Max, but no luck. We should not look for workarounds as we have paid for the most expensive iPhone ever! I have tested all updates and also beta versions of iOS 12. But nothing has changed. Very disappointing...

I agree, I’m just telling you the only solution to eliminate animations.
I have personally tried this approach, but unfortunately it works only for swipe up to go home. If you are in Safari and scroll after 10 seconds, or are in a chat and hit back button after 10 seconds of inactivity, it still stutters. It is, however, a workaround for those primarily annoyed by the swipe up gesture.

I think a guy here on the thread mentioned that Apple is aware of that issue, but he's a developer and he's under DNA. Let's hope Apple will look into it, because it's stupid having the quickest hardware in the world with the software not fully optimized for it.

I noticed the small stutters right away, coming from an IPhone X wich is smooth as butter, to my XS Max.

I thought it was something wrong with my phone but before i was going to contact Apple I decided to check some XS models in my local store. Sure enough, both the XS and the XS Max in the store did the same thing.

Most likely, this is going to fixed with a software update. Remember how many faults it was with the IphoneX? When I first got that phone it was winter here in Sweden, and I couldnt even use that phone outside cuse it just died when it was cold. Apple sure fixed that with just a software update, so they can most likely fix a little stutter here and there.

Im going to keep my XsMax, cuse there’s not a single phone out there that I would rather have. And the small stutters exist on every single XS version. Its just that some people dont even notice it. Now that I know that its not my unit that is faulty, I dont really care that much

I think the new A12 chips are the issue but I really hope it is a software related issue. This phone was released in September and still having stutter issues. The should have been noticed prior to release in my opinion. I love my Xs but this issue is one of my biggest gripes of the phone. I hope a fix comes soon.

Oh my i just sold my iphonex to get xs and im now thinking if i should get xs or just get another iphone x haha....
Does xr have this issue too?
