@Robertoxxxl - Hey man, so how's Beta 6 treating you? You said it's good for now? How good is it?

Everyone's feedback is appreciated. : )

I will say this from yesterday, everything works better from the moment of installation, all beta number 6 is the best.

I have gone from beta 3 to beta 6. In principle it is very similar but in this last beta has improved the touch sensitivity of the screen and gives more feeling of softness ...

I just did a reset all Settings on my phone due to freezing in the App Store, Settings, and that’s all been fixed. Also the animations seem to be liquid smooth now. No stuttering.

Still can’t get over the fact that it is even smoother when your battery is half way.
On the plus side, some of my game apps in particular empires and puzzles does not seem to stutter anymore when panning on the map. Proves this can be fixed in Software. Will continue to check other apps but overall very smooth UI swiping through the home screen. Fingers crossed for future updates and hope the app developers keep up.

The ITunes Store app stutters. Did not do this on the last few beta releases but remember it being bad when I first got the phone. To replicate. Make sure the app is closed. Open the app, click on film, wait 5 seconds, gently swipe down but don’t keep your finger on the screen so tap swipe down and release. There is a persistent scrolling stutter. Only happens when opening the app from start and not constantly open in the background. When trying to screen record this, the stuttering goes away.

It may very well be that the apps need syncing with the new software but suppose that’s expected.

It seems to me that they prioritize the CPU for each Application. One at the expense of the other is improved. Allotment of increased CPU work for everything will result in a massive fall and drainage of the battery. Therefore, IOS 13 with its dark motive should do the job.

All of this sounds great! You're going to make me pull the trigger on a Max. lol

@Christo128 - Not that it's a relief or anything, but do know that some apps stutter on my iPhone 7 Plus as well, and they always have.. and on my (previously) 5, 6, 6S, 8, etc.

What I'm trying to say is that, unfortunately, there are always going to be places where this happens, no matter which model you have. For example, the Today page of the App Store, the YouTube app and others stutter for me here and there and that's been going on for years.

I know there's another thread for this, but do any of you guys experience the LTE/WiFi drops that lots of people talk about in this forum? Or you haven't had issues with that, at least?

Dear All,

I just ran Geekbench on iOS12.3 beta 6. Here are the results for beta 5 and 6. Huge improvement in compute results.

Have downloaded the update so for me it has not changed on my XR. Still see shuttering.

The stuttering animation after 10 seconds of idle time is for me, fixed!
This bug annoyed me the most and its now finally fixed

Can you see if it is the same with you? If I unlock the phone and quickly switch between home page i see shuttering ! It really annoys .. and when I switch from the App switcher back to homepages and wipe there too :(

I updated to IOS 12.3 from 12.2 and the first thing I noticed was how much snappier everything was. Overall the phone does feel smoother, however, the overall UI stuttering is still there. This is still a welcome improvement, and is a step forward in the right direction.

You’re right! It feels faster but the UI shuttering is still there :/

Each update immediately after its introduction creates a super fast impression. The device runs smoothly for the first 2-3 days and it seems that the problem is solved. Unfortunately, when the fanfare stops, the device slows down more and more and the productivity problem we are experiencing returns. The memory of the frames clogs and what we need is SOMETHING IN THE TYPE AUTO TRIM MEMORY which works more often and more effectively.

Everything went well yesterday. Today when opening and closing apps i see shuttering. I have no hope anymore.

Now I have it after not having it. Reading anything and scrolling is irritating as hell!!!

Wtf!

iOS 12.3 made absolutely no difference in the iPad Mini 5 (which has an A12). The iPad Mini 5 scrolls reasonably smoothly in Safari but has a few operations with terrible and reproducible stuttering: sliding an app off the screen using slide-over multitasking and page turning animations using the Kindle app. These operations are much smoother on an iPad Mini 4, which has a SOC four generations older!

Last Christmas I returned an XS Max because of the occasional terrible stuttering while scrolling in Safari. I am beginning to think the problem is the A12 and that it will never get fixed. Remember, Apple began using their own GPUs in the A11. My best iOS device is my iPad Pro 10.5 (which has an A10x). Don't know if the new iPad Pros (with an A12x) have the problem.
