I’ve had my Xs Max since launch day, and it was way worse when it came out, it’s slowly improved but it still stutters every now and then. I always ask if there are improvements to see if it’s beneficial to upgrade or not.
It depends on what phone and if you want the latest fixes and security patches. For the max, I would upgrade without asking. But that's me.

This beta 12.4 seems to me a step backwards with respect to version 12.3. There is more stuttering in this last beta and I notice that my iPhone XS gets hotter ... I hope that in the third beta they solve it or I will end up going back to IOS 12.3

I did when the phone first came out, and they replied with the same answer people are STILL getting “an update show fix it soon”

Meant to say should
OMG! I do not know why other people don't notice this issue. It's really annoying. Did you go to Apple Store recently? I live in Iran and there are no Apple Stores. Because of that, I can not show this issue to Apple employers

Do not worry that you do not have Apple Store where you live, their knowledge is equal to 0, and they'll tell you what everyone can do here, wait for the fix. You have to wait forever because it is really a problem that appeared a long time ago and does not seem to be easy to solve.

yes, It's seem there is no fix for this issue. maybe it's a hardware problem and Apple want ignore it for ever!

IOS 12.4 beta 3 now available. I just installed it and tomorrow I will comment ...

still no improvement. I'm waiting for iOS 13 beta.
guys, does this issue (animation stutter) happen in iPhone X too or it's just for xs and xs max?

Yeah, 12.4 seems to have fixed. People say there is still animation stutter. Is that system wide? One app? Safari? One screen? Random? Reproducible?
No, still have animation stutter in iOS 12.4 beta 3
It happens in whole of UI, even in app animation and menu animation

I've noticed on my iPhone XS that if I am scrolling through something, say a webpage in Safari, when I lift my finger for around 10 seconds to read something, my phone stutters for a hundred milliseconds or so when I start scrolling again. Seems small, but it's very distracting, and the 6s I'm coming from doesn't do this. Had anyone else noticed this issue?

My current theory is Apple's performance controller is aggressively throttling on idle to save battery. Really hoping this isn't intended behavior.
[doublepost=1559234803][/doublepost]Hey so I found maybe a bit of a solution to this...I happened to occur the same problem as yours but apart from the stuttering and animation lag the performance was so bad too!So what I did was I cleared the ram...once I did that there seemed to be a boost in performance...to clear ram jst follow the steps to force restart u can Google it once in the menu do not slide power off,use additive touch click on it and long press the home button! And please do try it and check the performance!this is the best solution I could find after so long!

I think this issue in not related to device Ram

I want to know this as well, hopefully someone experiencing the issues got his hands on the dev beta. :)

For a few days my iPhone Xr is going crazy again. Nothing helps. Everywhere stuttering. Touch often does not react anymore. (Ios 12.3.1). And I see that the animations in ios 13 are the same. So I have no more hopes. It will never run smoothly
