seems better with iOS 12.0.1 but I need more time to see if stuttering has gone completely
[doublepost=1539020196][/doublepost]Stutters remain
I returned my XS last week. The stuttering is just unacceptable. Still happened even after a fresh install and set up as new.
I’m guessing a lot of people have the issue, but simply don’t notice it. I mean there are people that say they don’t notice a difference between 30fps and 60fps, or between 1080p and 4K, etc. Some people just don’t have the eye for that kind of stuff. I do. And once noticed, it cannot be unseen.
Meanwhile, my X still runs perfectly smooth. Decided it’s not worth a $1,000 for upgrades speakers and camera, but downgraded iOS performance. For the first time, I’ll wait it out this upgrade cycle.
I really did like the noticeably better speakers. It was even noticeable just when typing. The clicks were much more solid. Music had more depth. And of course pictures were amazing. Just a bummer about the OS though. I even had some apps that wouldn’t even open on the XS, yet work perfectly fine on the X. That makes no sense. Combined with the stuttering and slower LTE speeds, that was just too many strikes for me to warrant the upgrade.Same here. It’s unfortunate because I’m a bit of an audiophile and the XS speakers were noticeably better, but not at the expense of a smoother operating phone. I am curious though, how long it will take Apple to fix this. In my experience, most performance updates don’t come until .3 versions.
I am waiting for the public beta to test but I am not really confident that it contains a fix.12.1 beta 3 just dropped. Maybe it contains a fix?
I think it will be, I just do not see it happening until a much later build.I am waiting for the public beta to test but I am not really confident that it contains a fix.
According to me, this stuttering issue will never be fixed
Personnally I do not use a screen protector and I have the stuttersHey, today my glas screen-protector on my XS broke. Due to the fact that I don’t have a new one here right now, I noticed a significant improvmeent of the stutter, especially when scrolling. The effect is so drastic that it can’t be a coincidence nor a placebo.
Therefore my question, are you tried using your devices without a screen protector?Maybe the display drivers are a bit too sensitive oder insensitive? (Maybe totally nonsense since I’m not a technician of any kind)
