That sucks.
What? Than Xs is the second speedier in LTE? It is pretty cool. Also it is the smaller and faster in LTE speed. Onside ring the best screens, best CPU, best GPU is maket it is pretty impressive

Well that depends, there are some really dull and lifeless screens out there.
An LG / Samsung difference?
And Apple did of course selectively pick the phone to send for test, so I don't suppose they picked an LG screen model to send them.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but lg screens havent been used in the X’s max yet.

Lg has been contracted, they recently passed apples verification process and will begin to supply 4 million panels.

What am I missing?

I wish they'd used the same colours to represent the same phones in both the line graphs! It really annoys me that they haven't done this, must be my OCD!

Exactly, isn’t the real story here why the networks are so slow across the pond. Over here to the east the investments gone where it matters, and then one can respond with rolls Royce style answers when someone enquiries about the speed; it’s enough :)

No it doesn’t, what is had is the screen you prefer. What you prefer and what is best can be different which is fine. But let’s not confuse matters.

Tell me about it, then said posters blame the phone. The phone is more than capable. If your not getting those speeds blame your network, not the phone.

If you look carefully at the posters that are upset, it usually the ones that have no interest in the iPhone. It’s just more of the same.

Rene Ritchie posted this on Instagram, comparing the intel modem in the Xs to the Qualcomm modem on the X.

Pretty sure there was a poster in another thread that claimed this was impossible. Guess he was wrong.
I’m getting 100 Mbps easy on LTE in Denmark where such speeds are possible. Problem again is not the modem, but the network.

If network was capable of such speeds and iPhone would still be slower then it would be a problem.

I just bought a Xiaomi Pocofone F1 128 GB and compared to my iPhone X 256GB the Wifi of the Pocofone seams much much faster. I did not measure, but downloading maps for the Galileo Pro app was increadible fast.
I will test the poco f1 and if it is good enough ...

But I'm told the A11 is so much better than the Snapdragon 845...

iPhones appear slower because of animation speeds, let's be honest.
what? iOS 12 animations are super fast. I can find things much faster then a lot of my friends with their android phones.

Except the poco has a 2018 snapdragon 845 with the the 2018 x20 modem, and a fair comparison would be with the 2018 Xmm 7560 intel modem found in the iPhone X’s and X’s max. Not the 2017 xmm 7480 on the X.

But the price of the poco is less then 1/2 of an used iPhone X.

I bought the poco just to play around and was very astonished of the quality and the value of the poco.

Nobody find it interesting that last years Intel modem was way behind and this year, the Intel modem is very close to the Qualcomm?
I think that brings credibility to Qualcomm's claim that Apple shared trade secrets with Intel.

I don’t understand the relevance of price when your are comparing a 2018 phone with a 2018 modem to a 2017 phone with a 2017 modem.

Might as well compare the poco to a 2011 iPhone 4s.

Great quality and value when consider that you are using it as an ancillary device to the iPhone X.

If you only had a poco you might not be feeling the same. At least I wouldn’t. Quality and value to describe a completely plastic phone, ok sure.

You may be correct. Perhaps others can clarify this point.

All I know is there are been people saying how dull and lifeless their new screens are, and also blue shift which are very unusual for a Samsung panel. So their thoughts were it could be a LG display.

Perhaps they just had a faulty/bad display?

I have the device it’s not dull or lifeless especially when compared to a note it’s actually brighter.

Somebody posted one youtube video of a paid Samsung shill who lowered the brightness on the iPhone Xs max. But every other video proves otherwise, with display mate collaborating their findings and announcing the iPhone X’s max has the best oled display.

Note9 do get brighter in direct sunlight on one of their modes but I believe that’s about it.

Information is good, it helps people make informed choices about what product to buy. I doubt this particular information would drastically alter anyone's purchasing decision (at least I don't think it should for the vast, vast majority of people), but it's good to know I suppose.

I still prefer my SE to any of these phones, so obviously I don't personally care in the slightest. :D

Sure, except none of that is true.

Care to show me an alternative phone form any oem that matches apples current hardware;

You know, 7nm soc, 8core npu, 3d facial biometrics, the fastest on board storage with nvme, edge to edge flat display without a forehead or nasty chin.
There is much more but let’s just stick with that.

I will wait, take your time.

Still waiting.....nothing, yeah I thought so.

Apologize in advance as its the middle of the night, (I'm exhausted) and my argument may be a bit disjointed.

I don't think so. You mean facial bio metrics that your brother could unlock, that were part of the justification of the first $1000 phone with a FRANKENSTEIN NOTCH AND ASPECT RATIO. Oh yeah, finally an iPhone with OLED about 3 years late to the party or wireless charging, not as good water proofing, no USB-C in a new size of the phone (just like a galaxy).
Ok!!

Oh yeah after 11 years of iPhone, it finally got stereo recording and wireless charging. LMFAO. Tell me again how up until the X which was still a disappointment to me, how they didn't keep regurgitating the same stale garbage due to maintaining a sick profit margin for themselves without offering much to the customer. Hint: Year over year as they use the same stuff its cheaper for THEM, and not for you, it's devaluation to the customer because you are paying top dollar for old stuff.

Samsung is about right there with apple and in almost every category 2 years ahead of them (except processor and face ID). Apple has been borrowing their ideas from Samsung for quite a while now. For everything you described Samsung is right there with them at a significant discount over the iPhone. Yes iPhone has a better processor. But in real world usage what you stated doesn't amount to much, it does not blow the Samsung out of the water by the amount the benchmarks would have you believe. So if you like spending more money to buy into their specs, good for you. Samsung better battery life better modem, camera is about equal. Display equal if not better. USB C with fast charge and the CHARGER, (penny pinching much again apple?) Oh yeah and much cheaper.

You're not getting my point because you buy into the hype instead of being more objective. There are too many people that feel apple does no wrong. They are an evil business like many others, they don't care about YOU, they care about how much of your money they can take off you, its not personal, so it shouldn't be for you.

If you think for a second they have your best interest or really are making the best phone they could for the price they charge, we can't have a serious conversation. They are masters at ripping you off and making you like it.

They could do better and still make a killing.

This is a company that didnt put GB ethernet in an apple tv until the 4k and didnt use USB 3 in an ipad pro, i could name lots of other ways they skimp and pennypinch in "premium" or flagship products.

Wow, so on.a Note you can watch streaming video a lot faster ;)
Time to switch! </s>

All irrelevant. Every feature should be compared with the device's price taken into consideration. In that regard the XS would lose pretty much any category, I guess, especially compared to devices from Huawei and OnePlus.

All depends on where you set your criteria. For me price doesn’t come into it as I have other more important criteria. To me it is all irrelevant as the comparison doesn’t run iOS :)
