Which one are you seeing I meant to say?
If you're seeing the Apple logo > run Redsn0w in tethered mode.
If you're seeing the iTunes logo/USB icon > You have to use a custom 4.2.1/6.15.00 ipsw to restore > then re-jailbreak.
My iphone 4 gets the usb to itunes, I had it jailbroken on 4.2 useing redsnow i did not like because it was thetherd so i restored it and now it only get about 2/3 of the way can you please help
4.2which ios are you restoring it back to? Are you getting an iphone error?
Which iOS are you restoring it back to? Are you getting an iPhone error?
Hey, this looks like a good thread. So, I've got an iPhone 3G which I'd been running on jailbroken 4.0, waiting it out until it felt safe to upgrade to 4.2.x. Then, a couple days ago, I read the most recent Dev-Team blog post, and figured I may as well give it a shot.
I used PwnageTool, the latest iPhone 3G update and the iPad .ipsw linked on the blog to make a custom updater with the 06.15 baseband, then used iTunes to install it like always. Well, no, not like always it didn't work. iTunes started giving me errors, and the iPhone only ever boots up into the "connect to iTunes" screen anymore. I've tried various combinations of options on both PwnageTool and redsn0w; nothing has worked.
Most recently, I tried Lapatskiy's instructions (substituting the appropriate firmwares, of course), and naturally iTunes gave me error 1015, but when I took the step of booting the iPhone tethered via redsn0w, I got something I hadn't seen before: the "pwnapple" logo dimmed slightly after a few seconds (not the backlight, but the screen image itself), and it remained frozen there until I forced it to power off.
At this point, I've restored the device or at least tried to a whole bunch of times, and it's safe to assume that the baseband is at 06.15 by now. Hopefully the rest of the phone isn't a garbled mess from all the crap I've put it through.Any suggestions? Further information needed?
(By the way, I just installed TinyUmbrella and it seems neat, but I didn't know about it back when I could've saved an SHSH blob from my working iOS install. I guess I'll keep it around in case it's needed for...anything else...? I'm a little hazy on the ins and outs of SHSH blobs.)
hi guys
i jailbroke my iphone using limerain
i restored my phone and removed the jailbreak
now i went to update my phone and it is stuck in recovery mode
it alternates from being stuck on the usb and itunes logo to just the apple logo
i tried restoring while on recovery mode a buncha times and errors keep coming up. it says error 3194, 1015, 1013, 2002, 20000
what can i do??
please help thanks
Got error 1015. When I kicked it out of recovery mode, it rebooted, then rebooted again and fell back into recovery mode. I went ahead through the rest anyway, just in case that was what was supposed to happen.Put your iPhone back in DFU mode and restore with the custom ipsw. If you get an error 1015 0r 1604 use TinyUmbrella to kick your iPhone out of recovery mode.
Download an official 4.2.1 ipsw and use it with redsn0w to jailbreak. Follow the steps and jailbreak with redsn0w. After that, boot up redsn0w again and run your iPhone in tethered mode.
My phone has been stucked for the last 2 days.its getting on my nerves.i tried restoring it and i constantly get error 3194.i want to fix this asap.I really need some help!.thanks in advance
What iOS are you trying to restore to? You're getting error 3194 because you're restoring to a firmware that Apple isn't signing on their servers.
You need the SHSH saved for the firmware to restore.
it worked!.thanks!!!!!!.anyways just wanna ask 4.2.1 cant be jailbroken at this moment for my iphone 4?.when i gt the phone it was already 4.2.1.or can i downgrade it?
