I think when your iPad is connected to iTunes, if you go to the Apps tab then scroll to the bottom of the page to "File Sharing", apps that are sharing files will show up there (not positive cause I haven't installed iPhoto yet).

I too think this would be awesome.
A great way to rate/tag/edit photos while on the sofa and away from the iMac.
and have these photos reside/amended on the Main Library.
If you want to save locally on the iPad you can do that too.
wouoldve been nice if iphoto replaced the stock photos app
My only problem with this is, if the iPad is being positioned as an eventual pc replacement, .
What? Adobe Photoshop Touch is $10.Wondering how iPhoto for iPad will compare to the new Photoshop Touch. I'm sure there will be far more editing options in Photoshop (it's $99 vs. $5 for iPhoto) but for basic work will iPhoto put a halt to the benefits of Photoshop Touch?

That's iPad (3rd Generation).My question is...with the iPad 3
Sadly, not a No-Whine Situation! So after all the whining about how iPad is not a 'real computer' because it requires a mother ship, now they're evil because they write software specifically for a self-contained device... with camera.
No-win situation.
Exactly the scenario I want to do! I have an iPad 2 and an iMac. I've bought iPhoto for iPad but won't be able to test until the weekend.Hi.
I have a big, messy iPhoto library. I am slowly sorting through it, but it will take awhile. Rather than working at it on my Mac, I'd love it if I could just pull out my iPad during a commercial break, tag a few pics and slowly chip away at my library.
Is this possible? I have been waiting for this announcement since the iPad 1, so I am really looking forward to it.
I get the message "connect to the Internet" - I am connected!?!Does the app freeze for anyone else when you tap the "?" button. Seems to happen wherever I am in iPhoto.

Just a heads up, apparently you can't run iPhoto on the iPad 1:
"Requirements: Compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 2 Wi-Fi, and iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G.Requires iOS 5.1 or later."
Didn't want someone to buy it over the desktop iTunes and then find out after the fact.
Yeah, I bought it without seeing that. That's ridiculous, it says it won't work on iPad 1 because it doesn't have a camera - so what!? Why can't it at least let me edit photos?I guess we'll just use it on our iphones.
Shame when it says "is a universal app" it doesn't include the mac versions. Feel a bit cheated in a way especially seen as these are free on all Macs, why not iOS too?
This is bloody annoying. If you try to install it on an iPad 1st Gen it produces a pop-up stating that you need a front facing camera - Why /
Are we expected to believe that all the photos used in the Apple demo were taken on an iPad ? No, of course not - they were up loaded onto the iPad the same as the 1000's on mine, - so why can't I have use of the app ?
Why do iLife apps (namely iPhoto and Garageband) cost money now? One of the things that used to separate Apple from their competitors was how they bundled great software (for free) straight out-of-the-box.
I don't know but I do know that if for the new Macs they try charging me $5 for Mac Apps previously included in iLife I'm going to kill someone.

So is it confirmed that iPhoto isn't supported on iPad 1? If true, then that is crap.![]()
