NOW I'M getting the 2.0 version is available, "Would you like to learn more?" I click it, and it fails!! ARRGGGHH SOO CLOSE!@!!!
 
I'm sure with time the Dev Team will release a crack for 2.0 like they released a way to get the 1.4 apps for free (wish I had known about that before paying 20 bucks.) But, I can't wait to get the update on iTunes, so it looks like I'll be shelling about another 10. Thanks for treating your loyal customers, who always rush to be the first, like this apple. Why don't you add a fine to anyone that bought an original iPhone as well?

I never thought they'd release the iPhone 3G for sale in the US - assuming it has 2.0 on it at purchase - yet not have already released 2.0 for the rest of us. We're now 15 minutes into east coast sales, and no 2.0. Grrrrr. :(
 
It must be taking some time to roll out to all the iTunes....just a little bit longer guys. I'll confirm build and string version when finished though

I got up early this morning in hope they would release 2.0 by then, thinking, people in new zealand have the phone WITH 2.0, so give it to everyone else allready...

At least Apple could give the 2.0 update for free for January update buyers. I should have never bought that for $20. Maybe I shouldn't buy the 2.0 update at all, probably the next December update will be $2 for everyone and it includes all the updates people have bought earlier for $30.

damnit apple! the stock market opens at 9 EST. Why can't apple let people in the east enjoy things sooner, like the rest of the world does. no way in hell i'm wating for the PST people tp get up before I can enjoy my 2.0 firmware. 8:00AM PST is 11:00AM EST, that's NOT FAIR! :eek:
 
Mine keeps alternating between "the iTunes store is currently unavailable" to "an update (2.0) is available" [before not allowing me to go further] and "this version [1.1.4] is the latest version".

My iTunes finally shows that there's a 2.0 update, but won't let me update, when you click "Would you like to learn more?" it goes to the link is not available... closer and closer.. seems like it's rolling out..

Even if it did, though, it would still be the DECEMBER update, and we are in JULY.
 
This is poor project planning...if the update was not ready yesterday then I am concerned about the quality of the his update....it would make more sense to release the update a little bit before so that there is not a bunch of new iPhone owners and a old iPhone owners all on iTunes at once...
