iPod Touch 2.0 Firmware Update (Almost) Live

Yeah it's officially working in the UK.
Restart your iTunes and try - working for some.

Another new game (apart from the secret ones i've submitted to arn)

The Backup is taking quite some time.... that's a downer.
What's funny is I did a back up this morning already and it is doing a more indepth one now.

I'm head of IT at my work, that's where I'm trying to download it.. It's sometimes good to be the king..

(Hits update, same error.)

That's it, I'm refilling my coffee and having a cigaratte and I'll watch Dark City for 2 minutes on my iPod touch.
 
Hmmmm.

Last time I hit check for update it showed a little box for a few seconds with a thermometer type thing saying checking server and then said no update available.

All the rest of the times it immediately comes up with the 1.1.4 is the latest version message in about 1/2 second. I don't even think its hitting the servers when I hit the check update button.

Tried restarting iTunes but to no avail
 
DAMNIT, its says its available but then it won't load the page!!!!!!!! AHHHHH I can't wait anymore!!!

All you all pushing the check for update button on itunes or going through the apple.com "buynow" button? I still get 1.1.4 is the latest. :(
 
It's there when you click update, but when I try to buy it it causes an error as it thinks the iTunes store isn't available.

I use the UK store btw

I'm not even getting the pleasure/frustration of seeing the option for a 2.0 when I click update, also tried the apple link :(
 
No it's saying that 1.1.4 is current again. just a second ago it said that 2.0 was available????????????

1.1.4 is current again WTF??

Button changed to Check Update from Update
and all of sudden 1.1.4 is current.

I am in Aus btw
 
Sweet! It's finally showed up in iTunes for me. I clicked "Check for Updates" like 5 times in a row and finally saw that 2.0 is available. It's downloading now!
 
Why are people bothering to DL the torrent - it's not the final release. Why on earth would you want NOT the final release on your iPod?!
 
Yes! Finally downloading.

Its strange a lot of the warnings people are getting - I've been clicking update quite frequently, bout 3/4 times a minute, and it just kept saying 1.1.4 is the latest. Then all of a sudden, it worked, and said download and install.
