I think it was this one.....I forget...the one with the most seeders is what I picked.

Really..any of those will work.

*!$%@$* NOOOOOOOO!!! My update just said the current version is 1.1.4 :(:(:(:(:(:( I get the feeling that i'm gonna be up all night waiting for this...

weird how it did that the same time i started my music...

on the plus side, maybe this means apple is finally doing something... just trying to be positive.

Just So I Know...

...is there ANY hope of this working tonight? Has Apple given ANY kind of clue? Is this like calling a radio station, where we're getting busy signals and hoping to get in, or is this like calling a disconnected number?

Thanks,

Eric

Just a few moments ago, I tried updating the software on my iPod Touch. It told me there was an update available in iTunes. I clicked on the "Learn More" and it took me right back to the area saying the update was available.

Just now, it reverted to saying that Software version 1.1.4 is the most up to date. Anyone else had the same issue?

It's more like the first analogy. It should be working by "tonight", but that depends what time it is now in your zone.

Downloaded torrent from this link...

[edit: look guys, you can't distribute this app]

Took about 10 minutes to download (Averaged about 250 KB/sec).

It is on my iPod right now, working perfectly. It did wipe my iPod though. I don't know if this is going to happen to everyone. It asked me when the install was complete if I wanted to use my most recent sync or start fresh and I selected the latter. It then let me name my iPod, etc. So maybe you can just use your most recent sync and your music/data will be intact.

It did automatically sync the apps that I had already downloaded right onto my iPod though which was nice.

Good luck everyone!

I guess I'm wary of downloading torrents. I'll just be patient (unlike a lot of people...haha) and wait for the official release.

Are we really that screwed where something responding SLOWER is a hint of progress?

Apple really needs to step it up now. This is pathetic of them.

Yep. This whole thing messed with my brain. I hope i didn't brain my damage.

Been stuck on this for 10 Mins...

Yeah. I just got my first Mac about two weeks ago. Came with the free iPod Touch and MobileMe for 70 bucks. Now, I'm just waiting for the firmware to take full advantage of MobileMe.

I'm not sure if anyone is interested but I tried both the 5A345 and 5A347 firmware and they function the same...in fact the size difference between the two is a MERE 2 BYTES. iTunes claims its the latest on both.
