I don't normally moan about this, but $9.95 for bug fixes and a new feature to sell you more stuff!...

Hmm.

It's not $9.95 for that.

If you already have 2.0 then you get this update for free.

If you don't have 2.0, then you can get all of the features of 2.0 plus the new update for that $9.95

I don't think these things are expected - except maybe from 2008 Apple.

I've had five different iPod models, I've been through all of the announcements of new software etc. - I've never experienced a delay like this before.

It should be really simple to get this update out.

You'd hope that after iPhone 2.0 they'd have learnt how to publish a simple update.

I will agree with ya there ... they should have been better prepared ... i think at times Apple thinks to far ahead of themselves.

all i'm saying is that its nothing life threatening for anyones ipods and in short time things will be the way they should be.

Hmm.

It doesn't cost $0.01 if you already had 2.0 or 2.0.1, or 2.0.2 .. It only costs if you didn't already purchase the 2.0 update, which already added much more functionality than the 1.0 series did.

Just found this, now ill be updating iTunes, even though it doesn't come up in the software update

I think the whole damn iTunes server crashed.. I can't even buy songs or get the update. I'm on the east coast by the way.

iTunes prompted me to update to 2.02, and now 2.1, but it says 2.1 isnt available, so im just gonna wait.

the store is offline ( all together / partially ) until they get everything worked out with the updates and such

what do once i finished dowloading it? i have firefox btw.

Connect your ipod to itunes and go to the ipod status section, hold down shift and click the restore button. Then select the ipsw file you just downloaded. It will "restore" you to the newer version. You can then restore from a backup so you dont lose any of your settings.
