Ah, thanks for the heads up. Certainly don't want to get banned, I only recently started really participating here and I'm quite enjoying it. Am I allowed to just message a link to anyone who is interested?

Lots of "preparing for shipping" from pre-orders on the 14th! Wondering, anyone that has seen theirs change to "preparing for shipping" but ordered later in the month?:)

No I don't think so, I've only seen 14th's. Which is quite sad because I ordered mine on the 22nd.....
 
since it is past mid-day on Monday here in the PST, I am guessing it is NOT going to arriving at our doorsteps by Tomorrow.....like some else said in this thread or another one...Friday might be the day....

This may help, got it from the rules page:)

“Users may embed YouTube videos in their forum posts, using the youtube tag as long as it suits the thread discussion and their purpose for posting is not self-promotion.
Established users may post links to answers, reviews, or videos that answer specific questions from other users, even if it's their own site, as long as they don't use the forums primarily for such posts. New users without a history of other forum participation should not post self-links since it will be considered to be advertising/promotion.”

The adapter - also purchased on 9/14 - is now in preparing to ship status too. :)
 
Ordered mine in red and engraved yesterday (Oct 7th) ! The status is "processing items" right now, but my cc's already been charged ..?

Oh, good job :p looks like it's up for me, still processing though. I'm not sure how I'll ever get to sleep tonight, I'll probably continually refresh the page over and over in the hopes of seeing it change status in the middle of the night. I want my new iPod! This 2nd gen touch of mine is really starting to show it's age... (Especially in the past few days since I know the 5th gen is on the way)

Shipped!

Just got a ship notice. Tracking says it will be here on the 12th.

I pre-ordered at the release.
 
I pre-ordered my non-engraved one on September 14th and, as of 12:45 AM EST, it is still in the "Preparing for Shipment" stage.

However I do expect it to ship some time today and arrive some time on the 12th because of what a previous poster has said.
 
If the thread hasn't lit up with similar confirmations by tomorrow I'll post a screen shot. (too much info to block on tracking screen)

Mine is yellow.

this is what I would like to know; if the answer is yes, than it might mean that all the engraved ones are shipping ahead of the normal ones....gonna be an interesting answer...

also: it looks like Macotakara was wrong....it is already the 9th in Japan (2:40pm as of right now) and nothing....

I went to check the stats on the iPod and apparently only the loop is shipping. (seems odd) Sorry to get people's hope's up.

Nothing? Do a Google and Youtube search. There have been pictures, videos, blogs of the new iPod touch popping out of Japan for the past few hours! One example of many: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93sMFNX9Src

Looks like Japan got the iPods first. Maybe that means we will be seeing them tomorrow since our tomorrow is Japan's today (timezone). Who knows what Apple is going to do next...

forgive me...macrumors didn't report it so I assumed nothing significant has happened in the iPod Touch front....my bad
