Just went to "preparing for shipment", ordered on 14/09 in Australia, credit card not charged though.

Whoo! :D Now I really do think that all September 14th orders will change to "Preparing for shipment" and ship tomorrow hopefully!
 
Why Apple! I wanted to take my shiny new touch on my cross country drive, but now it wont get here in time. Mine just today switched to preparing to ship. I was one of the first to pre-order, minutes after pre-ordered opened. I guess they did do engravings first. At least its shipping!
 
apple has suffered from the higher demand for iPhone 5. they are so busy to ship it on time. so I guess that ipod touch will be delayed as hell. unfortunately, apple can't catch up with demand. it's proven that apple will regret something that they cut the deal with samsung. of course, they can't because of lawsuit. samsung is only company which is capable of producing and catching that demand easily. apple won't fund the partner anywhere else. apple can't look at further future in terms of long term. so you guys! don't be miserable. just wait another week.
 
Somebody who pre-ordered on September 18th is preparing for shipment on another forum! I ordered my white & silver 64GB in October, so i'll have to wait... :(
 
My 32 GB non-engraved White & Silver iPod Touch that I pre-ordered on September 14th just went into the "Preparing for Shipment" stage.
 
Same here, pre-ordered 20th and still "Processing Items".

Waiting for someone who pre-ordered on the 14th to update as "Shipped"!
 
i guess that the new ipod touch first comes out in country's like canada, US and australia? and a week later in smaller countries, just like the iphone 5.
because my ipod is still processing even though i pre-ordered it on 14sep ( the netherlands ).

Me as well, hope it does ship. Even if I don't get mine this week, I'm hoping that others will and will post every little impression as well as a million photo's of the device.

You can count on every little impression from me for sure :) I'll link you to my blog later, since once I've got the iPod I'll definitely be posting impressions of it as well as a full-length review after I've had it a while. I don't know about pictures though. To be honest this iPod will be the first decent camera I've owned, although I could look into borrowing my mom's DSLR to take some shots of the iPod :)

Cool with me to both of you, much appreciated! Can't wait for confirmation on some things like pictures quality, memory and display quality.

Also, I think my mouse button is getting a little worn down from hitting the refresh button on my order page...:p

I know Apple will send me an email, but I think it's more fun to click refresh on the order page over and over :) That's just my preference though

Be careful when you link to stuff, because macrumors always says the discussion has to stay on their website. Some people get banned for linking to YouTube videos :/

Almost forgot, I can't break the chain of happy faces:)
