Apple Support said they'll start shipment on Wednesday for Europeans, that info might be wrong though. I think we won't be getting them until next week Tuesday

I pre-ordered an iPod Touch from the UK store as a gift. I don't expect it to arrive until next Monday or Tuesday. They only gave us one option for shipping anyways.
But let's be real, does it really matter if it arrives a day or two later? After it arrives, we won't care about when it arrived, we'll care about HOW WELL it functions. So patience my fellow English speaker half way across the world, you'll get your gadget soon enough. It will be worth the wait!

But yeah, I'm really looking forward to the new iPod Touch as well and I could really use it right now. I sold my old one on Amazon, I actually thought it's gonna take more than just one day until someone buys an obsolete and scratched device.

On Saturday 9/4/10 mine said "Prepared for shipment" and on Monday 9/6/10 it was said shipped. Now keep in mind I am in the US and I looked at the tracking information on the FedEx website and it said it was shipped from Kunshan, China. The delivery estimate is this Thursday.

Since I didn't go the iPhone4 route...jumped ship...And I was having iOS withdrawals, I have decided to purchase the newest iPt. It looks proper good for replacing my old 3G iPhone. This means I will be waiting it out for the second gen iPad.

Mine also hit Shanghai not too long ago.
Interesting, because the 3g touch I ordered a little while back when from Shenzhen to Hong Kong. This route appears to be different. From Kunshan to Shanghai. I wonder if it'll still route through Hong Kong or if there is a major airport in Shanghai where it flies straight to the US from.
That's odd I'm guessing I'll be receiving it separately both iPod touch and nano. Why they can package it together? Waste of cardboard box I say.. Anyways I'm okay with it. As long it's here on the 9th or before

I am in the UK, I pre-ordered 5 minutes after the store went live for my new iPod touch - still saying "Not yet shipped" anyone else in the UK had their status change? Apple chat do not seem to have a clue, but they never really do.

Ah that's good, sorry I could not help, never wanted to get a product engraved incase of selling it on in the future like I just have done with my iPod Touch 2nd Generation - always good to get a bit of money back from products to upgrade them!

Still nothing here - Ordred at around 3:13PM on September 2nd. The payment went through on my debit card, got the confirmation email, then nothing. Logged into my online banking this morning, and the £249 - POS (Point of Sale) charge has gone, so there's £249 more in the account than there should be.
As for Apple themselves, after ordering the delievery date estimate was September 10th - 15th. As of a few mins ago, it's still the same.

Saw this in the other thread, so Apple took the money and now it's back in your account?!
I ordered mine on the 1st Sept, and the money was taken on the 2nd, it's not revisited my bank account since.
Edit: Ooh your in Dudley, I'm not far from there at all!
