It is one of those G5 look alike hardware things.
Like a HDD, or whatever else is made to match/compliment a G5.

I believe you, but you don't need a fake FWHD to photoshop an iPod.soundguynz said:You are correct we have several of those drives at work.

Not to say the "MacPod" in the pic is real just that at least the DVD cover and FWHD are.

Yeah, we're on the same page. I could never argue with a New Zealander anyway.soundguynz said:No I totally agree with you, just someone thought it looked like a cheese grater, and i knew what is was and thought it might help with scale, I thought it might be the carefully placed screen of a little portable dvd player.

CoMpX said:Tell me if anyone agrees, but now that I look at it I noticed something. Notice the size proportion of the "iPod" in front of the DVD case. It seems very small, no? What this looks like to me is just a pic of a regular 5G iPod with the bottom cut off. Any thoughts on this?
ditto.soundguynz said:Well, we are a pretty peaceful bunch, You make films, I do audio for films (and other stuff) we are in the same industry, we use all Macs, you?

My Motorola E815's external display is scratch free - I've had the phone for a year, it's been through hell and any scratch I get from dropping it, keys in pocket, whatever - i just wipe away with my shirt. It's amazing how robust the screen is, I can't understand why Apple can't use a similar type of plastic. Most likely to fuel the accessory market![]()

BTW, is this product officially deemed fake yet?

Thought this one is slightly more convincing than the others i've seen (apart from the original obviously)
I think you're right. The margins seem much fatter than in the other images, and that would explain why.CoMpX said:What this looks like to me is just a pic of a regular 5G iPod with the bottom cut off.
If it were pocketable and had a pop-up on-screen keyboard, then it's much more portable (and I'd want that). Otherwise, it would mainly be for hand-jotted note-taking, and for drawing, and for "cool factor." It could also be good at specialized things like portable music/media playback, with a simplified interface: it could do SOME things well even if it's second-best when it comes to general computing.Chuck said:What would be the big advantage of a tablet over a laptop anyway? Aside from portability - and it wouldn't too much more portable anyway.
