iPods Tuesday?

So, you know how the 5gb iPods have been unavailable for weeks? I just called the Apple Store in Cherry Creek Mall in Denver, CO, and guess what? They have a BUNCH in. They just received a shipment. They put one on hold for me. I asked how much they cost: $299, like always. The guy didn't seem to know that they've been unavailable for the last two months. He had to check in the back. Not sure what all this means, other than I can buy an iPod for $299, which is what I've wanted to do all along.

:eek: That's surprising. So the 5 gigs are back, anyone else can confirm this?
 
Yeah I checked their site too

Nothing there. But I did call the other Apple Store in Denver and they claimed they didn't have any nor have they for the past 2 months. Hmmm. I really hope it's tomorrow. Technolust at it's worst.
 
So new iPods could be tomorrow that would be sweet!!!!

As long as they keep us waiting this thread could go on as long as there are Tuesdays in a week. This is the thread that doesn't end................ (I won't annoy you with the rest)

Since geussing every Tuesday is getting a little passé, want to start geussing what year the new iPods will come out?;) But seriously, I think that a new version of iTunes is holding up the new iPods.
 
WheeeEeee!!!! Tuesdays!!!!

The problem with rumors is that once you begin to listen to them it's hard to back out.

So many of us have decided to hold back on buying an iPod that we just can't go back. Even if they don't come until August.

My bet: Tuesday. ;)

Is that American, or Canadian? And why the spelling error with paypal? Is that to avoid legal action over the nickel? And do you realize that I didn't specify *which* Tuesday?

How about someone buys me an iPod if it is this Tuesday (tomorrow)?
 
The Apple store in Aspen Grove and Cherry creek in Colorado all have a very large shipment of 5GB iPods, i have seen it with my new eyes. So no updates soon, i just ordered a new 10gb last night and it shipped this morning. I was tired of waiting, and it will be awhile, not tommorrow...trust me!!!
 
Looks like we got our update: Cheaper engraving. I just wish I had a new ipod to engrave. It can't be too much longer.

Oh, well, if I wanted engraving I guess that's a nice change. Too bad I was planning on buying from compusa so I could buy that 2 year warranty thing. And remember a while back when some reported that they got a coupon to get some deal on the 10gb ipods? well, those apple lame-o's sent me a coupon...for a projector! How did I get on that list?!? So if anyone wants to buy a projector, I'll send you the email coupon cause it's useless to me. I guess I'll have to wait much longer. Remember way back in january when we were supposed to have our new shiny ipods by now? why did I seek out rumor sites? :confused:
 
Humm, odd. The Uk site seems to link to the iPod Software 1.2.2 (instead of the normal 1.2).
The only difference from what I can see is that it reduces the maximum sound output of the iPod in accordance with European standards.

This has probably been up for ages, it just looks new to me :D

Just think you would have had nearly 3 good months of enjoying your iPod if you had just gotten one when you first wanted it.

This is the problem with putting any amount of credence into the rumors. The simple fact is if you want one buy it. How can you be unhappy with something you were willing to buy in the first place. When something new comes out it doesn't make the one you have any less desirable or slower or anything.

boy, all I know is I'm sure glad that I wasn't able to return my ipod that I got for christmas. I was thinking about returning it and waiting for the keynote, but holy cow, this thing has sure been drawn out. I've sure been enjoying it though.

Another great example of someone who got what they wanted and will have no regrets when/if a new iPod comes out.
 
I got so tired of waiting and i bought a refurbished 10GB on sunday, it shipped on monday and should be here by the end of the week. And i doubt we will see any updates any time soon, the apple stores here in denver have massive amounts of all the iPods. Maybe there will be a price drop and iTunes 4 (AAC)!!!
