You're not the only one with this delusion. Anyone else notice the view count on this thread? We're almost at 40,000!
That's because every time someone posts I have to read it. This thread is so screwed up and deranged it's like a friggin narcotic I'm addicted and have to see what the next nut is going to say.
What I'm saying is I've probably viewed this thread at least 10,000 times.
The Cure
The cure to this narcotic, for me at least, was simple...
buy an ipod!
its amazing how much better I am these days, but as this post proves, I still read this out of control thread...but no shakes now!

I don't read this thread because I want an iPod. I do want an iPod but there is no way I can possibly spend the money on it now that my job is going away.
I just read the thread to hear the next line of bull**** someone has to spew about this and that. Also I have to see how long this nonsense about next tuesday, next tuesday, next tuesday will go on.
Oh and if buying an iPod was the cure to reading the thread what are you still reading the thread for?

Yeah - I've got an iPod - 10gB - I'm awaiting the second - and yes - I'll use both. But I only want the second if its 40gb. My 10gb only fit less than 1/25th of my collection.

If the iPod incorporated bluetooth to eliminate wires for earphones, similar to sony ericssons handsfree, well that would be cool javascript:smilie('')

we are all waiting impatiently, and when say that it's not going to be this tuesday it will be.

Earlier they released a load of stuff each Tuesday. Reason being, apparently, they get their reports from the Apple Stores on a Monday, and ship Tuesday if there aren't too many "left overs." I guess.

Why the hell would Apple want Palm? Palm's market-share is dwindling... and the whole PDA industry is in the toilet. Plus the Newton OS was miles ahead of what the Palm OS can do today... (except for color screens of course). The MP2000/2100's are faster than the Tungsten... and they can take AAA batteries.

Well whats the chance of the iPod using bluetooth?
With the release of that iPod rip off by Toshiba or someoone, which had support for wma (not that its that great) and fm radio, hell radio is in most mobile phones.

Bluetooth would only have limited purposes in the iPod, because bluetooth is still slow. You would only be able to use i to sync calenders and contacts. If you were to use the bluetooth for earbuds, the earbuds wouold be too expensive, and if you lost them you would be screwed. An FM radio would be a feature I would want implemented, and hopefully be soon. As for the WMV it's not really a standard file type that i come across. I either come across qt files, or real media.
