Stopping them from having nuclear weapons is a colossal mistake? You'd rather wait til they finish making one and then ask them nicely to not use it?
That is a specious argument against a huge country that reportedly did not have imminent nuclear capability in any sense. Attacking Iran was an idiot move by an idiot POTUS. Now we see the world disruptions and alienation of previous allies that a unilateral attack by an idiot POTUS cause.

Thanks Donny for finally Making America Great.

According to the NYT and other media outlets, these two men have had a tremendous amount of influence. You can thank these two men as well.👻🎃

I am always intrigued to read an American's logic when it comes to government affairs. Europeans speak with largely one voice, America has gone mad, the leadership has thrown international law, domestic law and convention out of the window at the say so of a babbling idiot. This is largely England's position, we feel sorry for America and the sabotage on their respectability.

So I read your logic and try to picture how do you get to the position where it America is the good guy in this?

When we look at the invasions of others countries around the world in the last few decades, Vietnam, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Korea, Greenland. It is clear that America is an aggressor. What has Iran done? Funded some groups that don't like Israel, had a big fight with Iraq. There is no evidence that they would behave any worse than America or Israel.
On Day zero, America started an unprovoked, illegal in domestic law, war. Everything after that, Diego Garcia, Qatar, UAE, Straits of Hormuz was consequence, not evidence.

Do we like Iran's treatment of its citizens? Obviously not, they are at least as bad as ICE maybe even worse! But who cares? We in the west live in relative freedom, we are the minority, most countries oppress, to some degree, their citizens, should we invade them all? Of course not.
Thank you. I truly don’t understand The US’s obsession with interfering with rest of the world all the time. This aggression never really ends well. Can’t The US just try and fix their own problems. They seem to have quite a few.

.

One of the things I didn’t fully grasp before the war started, was the terrain. Iran is a giant ring of mountains. It’s almost like a cartoon version of the most defensible country imaginable.

All their missile production capacity is buried deep underneath mountains. You can’t bomb them, and landing ground troops into a mountain range is a nightmare.

I honestly have no clue how you’re supposed to attack something like that.
Easy. You do not attack a nation like that, except air strikes as feasible, knowing the limitations of air strikes. Then you use diplomacy to isolate a nation like that, building a community of allies.

Trump instead disastrously weakened the USA Sate Department ("soft power") and destroyed the USA's previous community of allies. And made the Iran regime even more radical. Donald Trump's actions are very not good for the USA.

How about using that same $200B for needless war and $100M for his golf trips to take care of things here at home instead?

And for that short-term pain, why not draft his sons and Netanyahu’s son? You know? Leading by example.

EDIT: My apologies! I almost forgot about the $220M ICE Barbie spent on horses and costumes. That’d have kept kids hunger-free for months.
Don’t forget the staggering budget for Donnieboy’s diapers - a lot of people are saying it’s the bigliest diaper budget, the likes of which the world has never seen!

Engagement bait posted by “staff” … lol. and everyone falls for it.

There are like 20 tech companies that were named, this isn’t even Apple specific news at all but judging by how fast 9 pages filled up with people being wonderful to each other… I guess it works.

Before I get some warning about this, this is factually what happened. And you can review my post history and see if you think I’m trying to troll for some angle, or against the staff (I am not).

But, come on. Does this help or hurt building a community.

Not wanting war is reasonable. Pretending Iran isn’t a threat at all isn’t, unless cyberattacks, proxy forces, and targeting U.S. interests suddenly don’t count. You can be anti-war without being anti-reality.
No one pretends that "Iran isn’t a threat at all." The point is that a threat level that would justify going to war with Iran was not even close. The war was flat stupid from the beginning.

Somehow it was a colossal mistake when Obama did it, and that only cost a measly $1.7B*.

*Yes, I know it's was $1.7B of Iran's own money.

No, it is not "yet to be seen if it happens at all." The Iran regime is more radical now than it was prior to this war initiated by the USA.
Had Donny made a DEI hire instead of a DUI hire for the defense secretary, they’d have foreseen the consequences and planned accordingly.

The DUI hire couldn’t even keep his Signal chats secure. How can we expect him to keep our country secure?

How so? Because they are fighting back? Or because the now leader (who as allegedly been the person pulling the strings regardless is now the actual leader? The regime is the same. Monsters as they always have been.

Iran building a nuke would absolutely have an effect on America and the world as they would've pushed that big red button the second it was ready.
I agree, while I have concerns about this war, more so issues with executive authority, America First is not Isolationism. When the US pulls back, the Chinease, Russians, and Iranians get more ballsy.
