I actually synced them from iTunes a few months back. It's the Honeymooners episodes, the Classic 39 and the Lost Episodes. I have them on there because I haven't seen all of them and if I'm ever waiting awhile for something I'll watch an episode. It's also some of the home videos I moved over from my old phone.

I detest the fact that Apple by default stores any video taken on the phone in the camera roll. It's video, so all my video has been moved to the correct app…the Video app.

How do you move it to the video app?

Does anyone here really feel like a 16GB iphone is enough for them? I consider myself a power user and find myself coming nowhere close to filling all 16 gigs. (sort of just thinking out loud here)

All depends on what you use your phone for. For some 64gb is not enough and for others 16gb is overkill. It is why they give us choices.

if either of you could read, you'd see he was disagreeing with you; because 16 GB is enough. "almost filling" the 14 GB capacity isn't completely filling it, nor is he expressing a desire for more space.

Read posts more closely and you might be able to make a point.

He has his phone ALMOST filled at this point. I'd assume he'd maybe take more pictures, or videos, or add another app or 2. Some apps build in size over time as well.

At this point, he's pretty limited in what he can do. Soon, the user will have to delete content to be able to add content.

If you go months without adding any apps/photos/videos/music to your iPhone...you probably don't need one or to be wasting the money on the service.

Oh, and you made a comment earlier about videos on the phone. Just because YOU don't watch videos, doesn't mean it's the same for everyone. Not to mention, the phone TAKES videos..which I'm guessing a lot of people do from time to time.

I put 1000 songs on here because I had the free space. I barely listen to music on here. I could lose these songs and have the 9 GB free; but I don't need 9 GB free. I could stream music if I wanted to, but I don't want to. Trying to constrain usage requirements based on what people have on their phones is silly. If I had a 128 GB iPhone would I fill it with a bunch of media I would never use? Yep. Would I be happier? Nope.

You can buy 16 GB if it's enough. 32/64 if it's not. Trying to say to someone doesn't have enough space because they've almost filled up their device is unarguably silly. If I had 32 I'd probably fill it up close to the limit. Same with 64. Doesn't mean I need to.

I used to have a 32 GB iPhone (when that was the maximum), but recently had to downgrade to a 16 GB version as I was issued one by my organization. It is a major pain. I had to delete tons of music, apply ****** 128kbps bitrate conversion to songs on my phone, delete larger games and apps, remove most of my photo albums and so on. 32 GB wasn't enough, but I got by. 16 GB is just not really doable without sacrificing something of real value.

More than I really need. If I take a lot of pictures and need more room later, I just transfer the pictures to my desktop. I don't Game/Music/YouTube stuff on my iPhone. Yes, we are all a little different, and have different needs, so 16 GB is more than enough for me.

If you live and breathe the cloud, 16GB is more than enough.

If you don't, you'll need at least double the maximum storage capacity being offered.

Three words for those who think folks like us still live in caves and need to use the cloud more: symmetrical internet connections. 10:1 dl:ul is not ideal for cloud storage, never mind uploading your 100GB+ music collections up there.

Can you direct me to spot in my post where I said "the user doesn't have enough space for his needs"? Please show me.

What I did say, is that he is limited on adding new content at this point. Apps and the OS also accumulate data over time and space will dwindle anyway.

If it works for him, and he never has to delete content for the sake of adding new content...good for him. My point was that, with the phone being ALMOST 'full', he's limited...which should be obvious. Never once said it wasn't enough for him, how the hell would I know anyway?

you didn't, but someone else did. didn't mean to direct that at you.

Yet it is enough, not for everyone, but for some. There is no yes or no answer as people have different needs. My current phone has 64gb, but I could survive with 16gb. Just would not keep that much on my phone. 3gb of music, 5 movies as needed and I'll be fine.

it depends how i use it, i can fill it up with movies and even 64gb won't be enough. i am not one of the idiots that pays apple $100 for upgraded storage, i think it's a rip off. just stick with 8gb and deal with it.

Is this a half glass full half empty rant? Because he's almost filling the phone's capacity with his idea of minimal use.

For me, 16GB is plenty. All of my music is stored on my iPod Touch anyway. So the only things I have on my iPhone are photos/videos that I have taken, podcasts, and obviously apps. I hover around roughtly 6GB of free space.

How do you move it to the video app?
In this one specific instance, all of my home video was taken from my old phone. So, it was a matter of copying it over to my PC, importing it to iTunes and then syncing. Same with the Honeymooners episodes.

Anything synced as video from iTunes goes into the video app. Now, of course, my iPhone is jailbroken so I use Bridge to import to the video app (after I find the video in the camera roll) and then I delete it out of the camera app.

I'd have to say that depends. If you don't do much with your iPhone as a few here have remarked then I suppose so. But not in my case.

I do back up to the cloud. But the cloud is limited and takes some steps.

Dropbox is limited in space. Box is limited in space, Google Drive, Sky Drive, all limited. All make you have to open the apps and do X to backup.

iCloud is an exception. It'll back your stuff up automagically. But there are still restrictions. If I want more space I have to buy it and it does not back up the video in the video app where I store my videos. If it backed up the video app I'd have to buy an additional 13GB of iCloud space. No thanks.

Lastly, it seems that none of the cloud services stream video. There are a few others that will allow that for a price. Not willing to pay that. So, 18GB of video sits on my iPhone 5.

But Google Play will let me store my audio collection in the cloud. And Google has such a high cap that I've got some room. So, my roughly 9GB of music IS stored in the cloud and I can stream it to my iPhone without taking another 9GB hit in space.

16GB is enough for me. However, I'm not the type that has to have all of his media with him, nor do I take a million pictures, or have a million apps.

I would say no 32 gb is the minimum but it depends how you use your phone. For me on my 64gb iphone I am running out of space if apple made a 128gb model I would get it as have 2.6 gb left on my 64 gb iphone.

I live with 16GB but I'm finding more and more that I'm deleting apps and photos and such. It doesn't bug me too much because the apps I've deleted and will delete later aren't ones I use much any way. In a way I like it, keeps the clutter down.

lmao, apple love customers like you

Yeah I'm getting quite frustrated with 16 GB but hopefully my dad will upgrade his iPhone and ill use his 64 GB 4S. 16 GB is just not enough these days.

I consider myself a power user, in the sense that I like to dig deep into the OS and make changes and use advanced settings and etc.

that said, I don't use very many apps on my phone, the most i've ever had installed is 30 and I have about 22 installed right now.

I use up ~6-7GB of my phone, depending on how much is in my photos app and how many apps I have installed at that moment, and about 3GB of that is music.

Overall it really just depends on your needs. I know people who have nearly maxed out their 64GB iPhones, I even have a friend who has used up more than 3/4th of his 128GB iPad. How people manage to do this (without just loading loads of HD video onto their phone), I'll never know.

As far as an iPhone or iPod touch, I'd say 16GB is a perfect amount. On an iPad however, while 16GB is ok and probably the model i'd buy for price concerns, I think that 32GB should be more the standard and optimal price. I'm sure probably with the iPad 5 or iPad 6, Apple will drop the 16GB iPad and give the 32GB iPad the 16GB's pricetag.
