Wow. I don't think I could handle that much variety.. I would go crazy picking what to listen to.

It's tough to get through the collection. I've only actually listened to 2/3 of it and maybe 1/4 is listened to more than once...

Parents have a massive CD collection(like 2 thousand) I haven't even had a much of a chance to import or listen to as well.

I have used only 5GB of the 13.2GB free space. However, there's only a modest number of apps installed, probably less than 30, and less than 1GB of media.

I'm fine with 16GB, but I understand why some users would want way more space.

"A lot" is relative. As I said above, I have over 500 songs and 600 photos on my phone, and they only take up about 5 or 6 GB. So to me, 16 GB can hold a lot.

600 photos is not a lot. I can shoot that in a day with my camera. The 16GB iPhone is really 11GB. If you're not someone that's gonna upgrade every two years, that 11GB will fill up. People forget that the photos that you text is also in that gigabyte of storage. idk why Apple puts out such a small iPhone? I see people deleting photos on their phones just to take a photo. That's crazy.

Simply...yes

I have a black 16gig iPhone 5. It is for a few reasons:

1. I dont really play that many games on it. I have like 6 games that are ideal and have had them for at least a year or two. Don't really play many games other than them.

2. I dont really have alot of photos. At the current moment I do, but only because I haven't had time to move them to dropbox. I put the majority of them in there and keep a few personal ones on the phone. helps save a ton of space.

3. I dont keep any music on my phone. Still have an 80gb iPod Classic that is like 20% full probably. I constantly delete, and put music on there and I honestly think i'll be dead before I get that thing filled. I have had it for at least 9 or 10 years. Aside from that, I recently discovered that Pandora, Spotify radio and iTunes Radio are far more enjoyable for me in my recent electronic music craze. The iPod has been collecting dust now for about 2 or 3 weeks because of it.

4. I have a Macbook pro and iPad 3 which helps aid in keeping some of the stuff I would've other wise kept on a phone.

Like I said, relative. 600 photos is a lot for me, and others here also say that 16 GB is enough. You also have to remember that there are probably more "power users" posting here than is representative of the general public. I recall reading that the 16GB iPhone/iPad are the highest selling models. That's why Apple puts it out, because a lot of people why it.

The 16GB is the highest grossing because it's the cheapest.

I have a 32GB, 16 is just not quite enough... I am hoping they change the entry level model this year, since I am buying my phone outright to avoid changing my plan with Rogers.

Nope, I had 16 with my 3gs and haven't since. it was never enough. Just barely holds my music and then I need room for apps and everything.

32gb is good for me. I usually have 4GB free with 32GB and it works decent.

People buy the 16GB because its cheaper. This has been the problem since day one. Selling a phone where ¼ of it is dedicated to OS. Not cool. Just like the iPod 8GB, the iPhone 16GB is limiting.

Sorry joeblow7777 my comments was simply answering the OP question. Is 16GB enough for you?

Yes, here's why...

A phone is my emergency multi-tool that's with me at all times. If I plan on taking lots of pictures and video, then I take a DSLR. 16gb is enough for needing to snap some pics on short notice when I don't have a dedicated camera. Often pictures will sit on my device until I need them, or am around my computer and I'll unload them via Image Capture. For music, streaming is the only way to go. With iTunes Match, I have all 12,000 songs in my library just a tap away. I also utilize Beats for stuff I don't have and effortless curation :) Games are for the iPad, but I usually have one or two installed for those times I gotta kill time. It also forces me to focus on that one game to sharpen my skills. I don't keep a lot of apps on the phone, only those that I know I frequently use which isn't more than 5 or 6 in addition to the standard iOS apps. I've always had a 16 gb iPhone and have never had a problem. Sometimes I load a ton of music production apps on the phone and still get by with 16 gb. If I do need space, first thing I do is delete the cached songs in the music app and that alone frees up 4-5 gb of space. Again, with iTunes Match it's just a click away to regain a playlist or album.

I'm totally for cloud computing, and 16 gb is a fun limit to put on yourself if you are a minimalist. As a bonus, the 16 gb phones are cheaper. 8 gb is ridiculous though, never would I recommend the limited last year 8 gb release.

32 and 64 are also overpriced, I would feel scammed.

16gb is just enough (well it's closer to 13.2gb according to the About screen), I have music and apps on the iPhone. I watch video on my iPad.

iPODs are different, 128GB isn't enough on one of those. I don't see why people need to waste money on 64GB iPhones, especially when they have an iPad and an iPod anyway buy hey, it's your money.

Who the hell buys iPods, when they got an iPhone? I have music on my iPhone, what would need an iPod for? But hey, it's your money...

Not me but if you want lossless or at least high bitrate music on your device, and you have lots of music, then even 128GB isn't going to cut it. There would be insufficient space for music, let alone apps and photos.

Which is why iPods are dead in the water these days; no-one wants them as streaming options on a phone are so compelling.

I don't store music on my phone, but I regularly go over 100gbs a month data usage on my Moto G to which I tether my iPhone. When cellular data is fast, reliable, cheap and ubiquitous why store music on a device?

With future iOS I think 16GB will not be enough. Apple will either change this release or in 2 years to a 32GB base model. Hopefully they can price it at $199 to replace the 16GB model.
