He didn't specify a currency, maybe he means his friends earn 500k Vietnamese Dong/year...

i want a luxury suv, but most luxury suvs are for older people (lexus, infinitis, etc). i'm a college student so i would like something you see young people drive. the range rover seems like a good fit, however i see mostly females drive the car. i was also looking at escalades but they seem tacky (like you're trying to show off).

As mentioned before, outside of the States, they're known as an off road car.
Not an SUV.
Here's an '82 Classic:

When I think of girl car, a pink VW Beetle fits the bill.

A Range Rover is pretty neutral, though a bit expensive for my tastes.

Know what you're doing selling drugs? Or your parents are billionaires and front the cash for 500 car washes? :p

nope. Poker players. Just as much money as drug dealing, but less guns, leas variance and it's legal.

so why are they in college again?

Because they are intellegent enough to know that although an income from poker is sustanable and beatable now with the recent poker boom, it may not always be.

Edit : sorry for the double post

Why not just invest the money?

They invest a portion, but a college education is still importantto them and as of now, it's hard to convienced someone to invest and gave ther money double every 7 years when they have the ability to double it in weeks or even days. Pretty much they see poker as a good way to build a nice nest egg for the rest of ther life, but still wish to perdue other endevors as reach new goals. Just be ause they are wealthy at a young age doesn't mean they are happy or feel like they have suceeded to their max potential.

Edit: plus their young dudes that like to live like ballers

There is something inherently comical about this post.

To the OP, this may not be extravagant enough, but I drive a Jeep Commander Limited. It is rather masculine (since that is something that concerns you), has serious off-road chops, and comes with a ton of bells & whistles. And don't worry, a well outfitted one will eclipse $40k.

Porche Cayenne or if you want space, Mercedes GL series. The Porche is smaller, but sounds cool! LOL

They're ... not their.

I can understand the rich hitting up college. College for them is an experience and not an education. I don't even fault them for that. If they truly make $500k a year playing poker then they should be fairly well-known on the poker scene. I highly doubt anything you're saying it very true but that's not really the point.

That is a great suggestion really but I don't think this kid cares about ruggedness. He's likely to be one of those guys who buys a 4x4 truck and raises it so that the frame it at eye level rendering it useless for off-roading (nearly). I think he wants something that him and his buddies can travel in style in.

Interestingly enough the OP has completely failed to answer my questions. I am not at all surprised.

You've all scared the little boy off.

Shame on you.

The truth hurts when you ask for it point blank. (you want something far more than need it)

Range Rovers are not girlie cars. They might not be the best pick for an SUV or be good on gas, but they're not girlie cars.

All SUVs have become "girlie" in that the vast majority of owners (im making up stats based on my real world experience) are female...my thoughts are that the rich husbands buy them to keep their women "safe" from all the bad drivers on the road. :p

But, doesn't tons of hilarious youtube videos show that these women tend to be the bad drivers on the road? :p
