I'll be paying £1149 outright and about £17 on a wireless charger. I already have the fast-charge gubbins for my iPad Pro. Home insurance covers my phone. That's just over $1500 at today's rate, so to answer your question, YES.

Does your home insurance cover theft and loss? I had to get extra insurance, but was only £70 a year, so can't really complain

My insurance is through the bank

£10 a month for theft, damage but for some reason they have stopped charging me for it just like Apple Music has stopped charging me...good for me though

I wanted a 128GB version....that said, I will be getting the 256GB with AppleCare and yes, almost $1500. I will sell my 7 Plus for $500 to help. But yeah, it's too much for a phone that is missing Touch ID. :(

Doesn't anyone sell/trade in their phone before buying a new phone? I always make sure to have at least half in cash from an old phone, this one being $1150 is going to be a bit difficult though :)

The real cost is close to 1500. I can't believe anyone really wants a 64gb phone, so the only alternative is 256... which brings you TO 1,150.00.... And then for the person that can afford that amount of money, you throw in AppleCare... for the minor cost of 200.00.. which brings you to 1350.00... THEN don't forget sales tax of 8%... which brings us to 1450... let's just say 1500.... IS THAT WHAT YOUR NEXT PHONE WILL COST?

And don't forget the new wireless charger(s) your going to get... One for the living room and of course the bedroom... AND how about a 29 watt charger (for really fast charging). with the additional cable you will need for the charger... ANOTHER 200.00 BUCKS....
High price but how much do you want it?

Totally understood. Use whatever font you need to see. As long as it's not all cap..lol

Why do you care what others spend on their phone? You are not paying for it! Are you just trying to show you can count and add sales tax, or are you justifying to yourself that it's OK to not buy the iPhone X?

$1500 is not really a lot of money though. I don't get the upset with so many people on the price.

I have 4 computers (including work) but I spend by far the most time on my iPhone. Considering a nice laptop could easily run more than the price of an iPhone X (and that I still have an iPhone 5) I don't have any problem justifying the price. I just hope it will as nice as I expect! :)

No Touch ID, no headphone jack, and a size that won't fit in my car's cupholder.

Why am I all excited about the iPhone X again?

You're clearly not. So you won't be purchasing it, as others will be for reasons opposite of yours. And your cup holder reason seems rather irrelevant for a reason to not purchase an iPhone, as that's not much of an argument to not consider an iPhone for the majority.

Sales tax? What’s that? :)
They got us used to > 1K with the first 12.9 iPad. Then a new MacBook Pro same thing. $1149 doesn’t seem too bad after that - just because it’s a smaller form factor doesn’t mean it should cost less - in fact I expect it to cost more since they have to fit everything in there.
$1149 for me, no Apple care, no sales tax + all the cases I usually buy. I buy cases like others buy clothes for their pets :) so that’s what drives up my price lol.

If I were in the market for the iPhone X, I would definitely get the 256GB model. But that's all that I would spend. $1,150, all-in. I get an additional 2 years of warranty through my credit card for a total of 3 years. I buy in Delaware which is sales tax free.

Yes, I'm paying a whole lot.

I'm buying the 256g white.
