I'm able to get up to the part where you select your plan again, but once they try to verify you, it crashes.
 
Apple's site is fine, it's the part where it has to contact AT&T that fails.

Hard to blame AT&T though. How could they have known there was a new iPhone coming out today?!

False, vie had Apple site timeout twice now several steps past the upgrade validation check.

Why is everyone so defensive of Apple? They clearly have just as many issues as ATT during this launch.
 
check your cart, it should already be in your cart and checkout that should work.

damn i hit the jackpot!!! i got as far as the cart button n it timed out i checked the cart and it was in there!!!!!! thanks for the info!!!

+1 The fact that I can't even get to the verify account page is a testament to that fact. ATT and :apple: are to blame...

Anyone know if you can go to the apple store to pre-order and have it shipped to you on launch?
 
It is definitely the AT&T part that is holding up the works..... I agree, they should have had a separate means of handling those of us who have an existing account so that everyone is not all jammed up together. Sigh.

Earlier this morning however, it was definitely an Apple problem. ATT validation was quick but Apple could not continue once "add to cart" was chosen.

Agreed. I've gotten all the way to entering my Apple ID & password to reserve it in-store and then had it fail. Everyone is failing all the way around this morning.
 
This looks to be entirely on AT&T's end. Apple's site loads quickly every time until I get to the spinning wheel of doom.

It seems like Apple has increased the timeout limit on the spinning wheel as I believe it's taking longer for me to get the "can't process request" error, but still no dice.

Whoda thunk the iPhone would have caused AT&T network issues :rolleyes:
 
Is anyone getting in to order now??

I have read that a lot of people including myself can't order at all right now through anything.....tried new iPhone app for my iPad, through the apple site, and lastly through my desktop. Anybody having any luck at all???

it's a big cluster f*ck right now... you'd have a better chance of sending the order by smoke signal...
 
Been at it for 2.5 hours, no luck. Furthest I got was the second spinning wheel of death but then got an error message.
 
I can't order through the apple or at&t sites. My husband is trying to call Apple right now.

Update: We can't even get through to anyone on the phone!
