It finally got to the point where it was loading a page that wasn't an error page but then Apple threw an error that it couldn't load the next page. What in the crap is this?

I just got to a screen that said error on the left hand side and on the right hand side it said "Make a Reservation" to pickup in store.

Keep getting the "Sorry, you've been Apple and AT&T Pwned. Try later sucka"

As a Warcraft player, I'm used to issues on launch day. Just have to fight through it.

As a side note...let's say the phone was on 2 carriers. The load would be spread out more hence easier to pre-order.

Just got through to an Apple Rep...

I just called Apple and after being on hold for a little while I actually got through to a really nice woman. Pre-orders are completely not working at the moment... she said Apple is working on problems with their communications with AT&T. Basically, she said this is why you can sometimes get to the "Processing Info" screen online. At that point, it starts talking to AT&T, which is where the problem is.

She said that the problem should be resolved in about 1.5 to 2 hours, as of 10:40 EST.

Let's keep our fingers crossed... I've been trying repeatedly on Apple's site, but it seems there isn't any hope until Apple fixes the problem. At least we know it's not Apple's fault... Gotta love AT&T.

I'm just waiting on my confirmation email. I have an order number and they charged my card. phew...

While Apple's site is down a quarter of the time, I blame AT&T.

I get to the eligibility check and it times out.

AT&T can't handle the activations.
AT&T can't handle the preordering.
AT&T can't handle the bandwidth.
AT&T can't handle the calls.

But they're really good at handling my money.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7D11 Safari/528.16)

It's 10:56 EDT & still haven't been able to order online.

But ordering directly from AT&T's website was not a problem for me and many others (around 5am EST)

Not to mention that on Apple's site, upon my first try, the AT&T verification went through fast. It stalled after I selected which delivery method I preferred. How is that an AT&T issue at that point? That seems to be an issue with Apple's website.

Note to self:
1)Invent Super iPhone
2)Get it on multiple carriers so that carrier load is spread evenly hence easier to pre-order.
3) $$$$PROFIT TO INFINITY*** lol

WoW has given me tons of patience, I'm just excited for the new phone in general.

I've had problems with AT&T's site, but it seems to have been more successful for some people. It sounds like the problem is when Apple's site tries to communicate with AT&T's servers. That's why Apple is having so many problems.. You'd think they would just pause pre-orders so we would stop freaking out.

Yeah and in 1 to 2 hours watch them conveniently switch the "ships by" date to like July 1st.

I posted this in another thread but the topics are moving so fast I figured I would put it here also...

I work for att, not the wireless division... I normally have to call in to remove my discount so I called up my att premiere helper and he told me something about the sites are down and I would have to go into the store (either apple or att) to complete the order.

Not liking the response, I called right back in and spoke with someone else who told me the discount is holding it up and she would remove it. I guess we will see once it is removed!

Either way, the first clown told me the site is down and that appears to be the case for everyone, discount or no discount.

"Verizon!"

Little does Verizon know is that the reason their network isn't overloaded is because they DON'T have all the iPhone customers jamming it up. Now I BET once Verizon does get the iPhone their network will crash the first day and cause a cluster**** and they'll have no idea what to do and be in the same position AT&T's been (but atleast AT&T has got a chance to evolve in it and try to get better) for Verizon it'll be their first major iPhone traffic fail and they'll be lost.

I agree completely. Was trying to be funny, the attempt of which apparently failed.

Yes, the problem is clearly with AT&T. If it weren't, it would be possible to order from AT&T's website without a problem. It's not. I've been trying for more than an hour and I get the P105 errors.
