I'm not excited about a larger phone if that rumor ends up being true (which it looks like it will). But I'm sure there will be something that'll get me excited once it's released. The 5S release was very exciting to me. I'm still on a 4S, though, and going to ride that out as long as I can stand it.

At this point I have no interest in it, never mind excitement.

I dislike iOS as an OS at this point, and the main reason I'm still on the platform is that it's the smallest high powered handset available. If it's bigger there's no reason to stay.

If you have any iPhone with a 5 in the name, why would you be excited? This is exciting for those with a 3 or 4 in the name of their iPhone. Lots of people who still have an iPhone 3G(S) or iPhone 4(S) will probably upgrade this year.

I'm excited about iOS 8. I'll reserve judgement on the 6 until there is something to be excited about.

I agree with this, that being said every version of iOS has been better than the last IMHO. To me the OS is more important than anything else. I am still on a 4S though mostly because I prefer the screen size, but the 4S is a little slow these days compared to my iPad. When the iPhone 6 comes out I will probably have to decide between the 5S and the 6.

Why wouldn't you be? I'd think that it would be the other way around. If you still have an iPhone 3/4, chances are that you aren't really that interested in tech, and thus won't be excited by a new release.

Bigger screen is all I want, but if it is 960p and/or 4,7", then I won't upgrade. Then I will buy a Nexus 5 or Android Silver.

Unless you were on a 3 or 4 year contract in Canada or other countries, or you can't afford a new phone every year...? I am on a 4 year contract, which is why I'm only upgrading from my iPhone 4 this year.

Four year contract? Blimey, it must be like losing your virginity every time you get an upgrade :)

Ok, so I'm an Apple fanboy... Shocker.

I will be one of the people NOT purchasing the iPhone "Mega" (or whatever they call the larger iteration) in favor of the smaller (giant) one. I think it's a mistake, even though there is literally NO mistake Apple can make (sans making the phone out of poison ivy or something) that can erase the goodwill of the last 7 years quickly enough to hurt sales THIS time around.

There IS a point where a phone is "too big". I have an iPad for instances like that, and my iPad almost NEVER leaves my house, despite being easy to tote and having great battery life...

That being said, there is also "too thin" and I think this is the critical flaw I'm concerned about. Not because I'm one of the whiny "I just sat on my phone and it bent so it's Apple's fault because they don't use unobtanium" people, but because the 5/S is already borderline too thin, and my son's iPod Touch 5G is definitely the line for me (and that's what they're saying it'll be comparable to).

I'm sure it'll be awesome, and everyone (including me) will buy it... but I could really go for a 4.7" (or less) screen with thickness somewhere between a 4 and 5 (and think of the battery life if they did that!!!).

I'm still excited... just not for the 5.whatever" version.

Same here. Keep it no thinner than the 5S, and no bigger than 4.7" and Apple will have a winner. I don't want to struggle to pick something up off a flat surface because it's too thin, and I don't what a phablet either.

I haven't used a 5s since I'm not eligible for an upgrade yet. Speed isn't a huge thing for me when LTE in my area and my wifi are both fast enough. The A6 chip is very capable. I was referring to the 5c and 5s since those may be the only 4" options come September. If so, there's no reason for me to upgrade if those are my options. The 5c especially since it's basically the same as the 5.

Not talking about speed of your network talking about speed or rather performance of the phone. Like how long it takes navigate around the phone

Not something I care about. My 5 is fast enough. I don't see the point in upgrading to one model newer when that model will be a year old. That's my issue with the 5s. If it's going to be the only 4" model, one year newer isn't much of an upgrade compared to what the 6 could be. But until I see what Apple is going to do, size is my main concern. The 5s has 64 bit, the A7, and Touch ID. If I'd wanted that, of have it already.

Reasons for being excited about iPhone 6 (hopefully, in order of importance):
1) Better battery life
2) Larger screen
3) LTE-A
4) New, thinner lighter design
5) Better Camera
6) Faster CPU (A given i suppose)
7) More RAM (May be a deal breaker if there isn't at least 2gb)
8) Smarter Siri

I think its a mistake for apple to push the thinner envelope, and they generally don't state how much ram is in the iPhones but I agree it needs to be upped.

Siri needs to be improved given the power and flexibility of Google Now and Cortana. Siri just cannot hold a candle either one.

I think overall your list is what most people are hoping for though

Just saying.. OP needs reasons to get excited :p

Not that "excited" but will still get the iphone since I always buy a new iphone. Yes I have disposable income. Usually just sell off the last iphone for $400-450 (always have 32gb version). So it sells quickly on Craigslist at that price.

I am also due for 3 subsidy upgrades as well.

So I feel I need to upgrade regardless. But not excited. Just playing the subsidy game.

I can understand if people aren't excited over the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5S. But yeah if the iPhone 6 doesn't excite you then I think you're asking for too much.

*cough* I have been waiting for a long time for a comfortable screen size on a iPhone. 3.5" too small, 4" too tall and narrow...so looking forward to the iPhone 6.

What exactly would get u excited? The 6 is gonna be the biggest update yet. I'm pumped. And don't worry, u will be too once we get a little closer.

NFC Perhaps ?

Or as you said recently.......

"NFC is dying rapidly. Apple was 100% correct in NOT adopting it. It won't be around in another year or 2. Apple will have they're own payment system and using entirely different text like BT."

I can't wait. I have the iP 5 which is very nice. I look forward to fingerprint sensor, faster processor, better camera and whatever other new things they will include.
