Had the 7 returned it for the Plus but my 7 was def yellow compared to my friends 7 and when i got the 7 plus it was yellow ish as well maybe its just the black iPhones?
Without look at it in person, I would say the jetblack has a better screen whilst it's a bit warmer overall it has better colour balance than left which seem to have darker left sideI have a launch day rose gold 7 plus 128gb and a jet black plus I bought 2 weeks ago. Nearly took the jet black back today due to the screen but I don't think it looks that bad. Rose gold on left jet black on right

All the screens have a brighter bottom than top. I don't know if that's due to how they have aligned the leds or whatnot.
Look at it with minimum brightness in a dark room and you'll see it
Again all the phones I've seen have a darker right side to left.
Some look more or less obvious in normal brigtness because of uneveness in screen tint
All the demo sets have the same issue as well
I personally find screens that are cooler pop less in contrast and tend to be washed out.
If all u do is message and look at the settings screen then a cooler screen would be more pleasing
I have 2 "good" screens. 1 is cooler by far than most 7 plus. 1 is probably in the middle in terms of warmness. It's not as cool as my 1st screen and it's not as warm as the yellow tints iPhones
Both don't have pink or greenish tints which IMO is worse than yellow.
I sent a pic to both phones. By far the colors pop so much more on the slightly warmer phone.
I would be keeping the warmer phone however in the dark where I do lots of reading the screen tends to go from light to dark (all phones do as mentioned) but just not gradually unlike other phones that tend to have a much more gradual shift
I find earlier built phones have generally cooler screens and later ones are generally warmer and less bright. I know there have been issues with week 42s not being very bright
Lying in bed reading at night with minimum brightness, I have no issues reading on my cooler phone. With my better contrast phone I have eye strain and sometimes feel then need to adjust brightness in the same condition

That can't be true. Didn't you see above, no screen is good, they ALL are darker on top or bottom, or was it the opposite. You can read it above.Wow the lot of you are seiously ocd. My 7 looks great just like my 6 and SE etc

Maybe someone asked you already the question and sorry for asking again but what is the serial number start for both of your units?
I received my replacement. My case is being handled by an apple case officer.
My 1st phone was cool but images washed out. Images were just flat. Would have kept it but noticed dust behind lense and that was it. Battery was bad
2nd phone was delivered 2 weeks later and SIM card slot wasn't flushed. As much force as I could use and it wouldn't go all the way in. Display was warm as well. Contacted apple and told them I was keeping the first and they insisted on a 3rd since they wanted me satisfied.
3rd iPhone was delivered a week later
Battery amazing, no dust, can't hear a hiss, display contrast amazing. Brightness great. I mean images just pop. Screen is "white" not overly blue not yellow at all. Right side though seems like I can see a shadow cast upon it.
On the forum boards here the blue lines goes from light to dark left to right. FML
It's not a screen temp issue but more the leds are dull on the right
However the left is perfect
as I said all phones have this issue but this one seems way to obvious a difference
I don't know what to do. Keep it or ask for another. I'm honestly over this whole ordeal.
Ive been having screen issues since the 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, 5S. But thankfully no issues out of the 1st box with the 6 and 6S.
No one has returned an apple watch for display issues. Why? Cause OLED simply wins in this department. Fingers crossed OLED is used in the next iPhone and only 1 supplier is used so we don't have to deal with this warmer, cooler issue.
I've been through 5 iPhone 7s with an (for me) unacceptable, uneven screen.I've been through 3 iPhone 7s and ALL had darker and yellower bottom quarter of screen, some worse than others.
Did any of yours have a pinkish tinge in the upper left quadrant of the phone noticeable on white screens such as this forum and the settings app? How about LCD bleed at the bottom that shows a yellowish brighter band on white backgrounds on the bottom just above the home button? Mine is like this but I'm afraid to start the exchange game after all the "fun" I had with that on my iPhone 6. The whole top half of the screen is slightly brighter than the bottom half too. Sucks.I've been through 5 iPhone 7s with an (for me) unacceptable, uneven screen.
I'll stick to my iPhone 5 and look forward to an iPhone with OLED display next year...

The iPhone 7s I returned had a warmer white on the left and a cooler white on the right side of the screen. Additionally on the bottom left side the screen was very yellow and and on the bottom right side very cool/blueish.
I didn't notice any pinkish.
It's a cost or QC thing because my Xperia XZ has a 1080p LCD display with zero issues. No bleed, no inconsistent brightness, no shading, no dead pixels, no 'binding' effect and it's perfectly white (not cool blue, not warm yellow). After years of having iPhone LCD issues of some form or other it's certainly uplifting to stumble upon a perfect LCD display and it proves that it isn't a technology issue. I'm sure that Apple will manage to source flawed AMOLED displays next time around...All jet blacks made in F2L.
My fiance's week 38 matt black plus 256 is a C39
I think by habit most people look at top and bottom in settings and not many pay attention left to right. If u go to minimum brightness you will see differences in both corners better. Then u manually increase the brightness and u can't un see it. But walk away come back and chances are you won't notice it.
And to be honest unless theres a severe shift between left and right, you are better of staying with it then replacing because u are not going to find one which is good and chances are find one which is worse
I've got one rule with iPhones... It the display sets have it then its normal. And the display sets all have a lighter left than right. Its inherent in all LCD technology no matter how advance the rec, gamma or whatnot. Go into a store and open safari on one of their macbooks, iMacs and full page macrumors, look at the blue bars of each thread, you will see a shift.

Anyone? I'm wondering this too but I think I may just hold on to mine for a year and try the replacement game because I want to keep my iPhone 7 on iOS 10 for as long as possible. So maybe end of August or early September I might try to get a more even screen.Hello everyone;
I need to update. Did you try to swap your device? If yes how are your new devices? I still did not send my device back because i think it will be same and i want to keep myself safe against other problems.
I had to keep swapping five 7 Plus-es MB 128GB in the past 3 months in order to get one with an even display... and without other cosmetic issue (e.g scuffs right out of the box, scratches on the antenna bands, big specks of dust in front of all 3 cameras). All the previous four devices had at least one of the above plus the uneven display - yellowish / pale tint on the whole left side or yellowish bottom left corner. My fifth current one is wk 48 and it's a keeper ;-)
