in all fairness, every demo set I've seen has the same issue, bottom is brighter than top.
How obvious it is depends on how uneven the tint is which can bring out the difference even more

yes its good from a picture standpoint.
and every phone seems to have a lighter left to darker right side.
Look at the grey under the reception and then compare to the grey under battery.
This is the same issue the 6S had.
Most of the week 36-38s had cooler screens (closer to the 65k apple was trying to hit). The latter weeks however has got consistency warmer.

well, finally, I stop to struggle to find a perfect one and just use it with tolerance.
wait for the generation using better screen and no uneven issue. maybe using oled is better? I don't know.
I really miss my 6 which only have a light yellow on the top line, not on left or right. and most of the time I can't notice them because of the forehead that almost every app has.

I've had many 7's as I was unsure about the colour and capacity. However, on most of them, the right hand side of the screens were not as warm as the left hand side and yellow areas towards the bottom left. The one I have now is uniform, not yellow areas and perfect. However, I have a scratch on the front screen coating out of the box. It's around 1.5cm.
Not happy with the screen, either. My screen is evenly lit and not yellow, but under certain lighting conditions - only outside in the early evening, the entire screen can take on a pinkish hue. It's cringy. I exchanged it for a second phone, same issue.
Compared it to a friend's 6s plus at the time and he noted mine did look like it had a pink hue. Then, next minute when the lighting changes (or when indoors), it's perfectly white again.
I just learned to live with it, figured if my original as well as the exchange model had that same issue, most of the others would, too. Oh, and I have the creak, too. At least I've been spared the yellow / uneven screen and the hissgate thing.

Jetblacks are all made in F2L
I don't think it's based on the factory it's made in. I've seen a few phones now and the coolest phones were all week 36-38. The week 40s onwards all have other issues like light leakage, pink tint and are generally warmer in setting
Yeh this is purely what ive experienced. All f2l like 10 of them all screen has issues like bottom dark, yellow tint, and blue tint. Jesus

left is slightly cooler but IMO colours do not pop as much as the right replacement (look at blues) which is why I requested one in the first place. At least thats what my eyes are telling me.

Holy Crap! i thought i was the only one having this problem.
Something that bothers me on my iPhone 7 Plus is that the screen is a little bit darker (more of a gray color) on the edges of the screen, specially 1cm of the entire right section of the screen. It looks like the light is uneven or it has a drop shadow on it. Its not much, but my eyes can see this and its a bit annoying! This problem is most visible when im in the main setting section or when reading full texts that covers the entire width of screen in Safari Anyone else noticed this? Im using 50% brightness and nightshift is always off.

I gave up with the 7 plus after 2 attempts. Aside from the awful home 'button', the network connectivity was terrible compared to my 6s plus.
But yeah, the screens were a disaster. I've never seen such a mess from apple. Bearing in mind I always end up having to exchange apple devices a few times to get a decent screen, literally every model on display, in addition to the two I exchanged, were F2L. Every single one of them had the yellow band at the bottom and a dirty looking screen.
Sadly the almost perfect 6s plus I traded in can't be reclaimed, and the 6s plus I just bought had a lovely dark shadow/yellowing to the top left corner
If AMOLED screens weren't way worse when it comes to uniformity I'd have jumped ship a long time ago.

F is the factory.
As far as I know, F is zhen, D is Brazil? And C is Shanghai?
Either way there are SOME good ones from zhen, but a website I found a while back graded it as being the worst for QC based on various reports.
C is usually the best.
D means Chengdu? maybe.
Had one with AT&T (C39) which has perfect screen but battery issue, returned it and got a SIM free (F2L) , now screen looks funny..... can someone confirm that all sim free version is made from F2L?
That's a good point, every sim free I've seen has been F2L. All the locked ones seem to be DNT in the UK at least.
So what's everybody been doing with their screens? Hanging on and living with it for now? Or are some still playing the lottery with the replacements? Anybody winning?
Mine has a brighter yellow patch right at the bottom and my pinkish tint is getting more apparent in the upper left quad every day. Also mine has the issue with the ticking sounds being present when taking videos. I'm thinking about living with this for now and then trying for a better replacement near the end of warranty. What are you guys doing?

If you can wait and live with your current iPhone for now then waiting and replace it before the end of warranty can be a very good option so you might get a new phone.
How do you find the info to tell what factory it's made in.
