Alright, I'm having a problem here. I ordered this skin the night it became available to VIP members. It said that it departed from Canada on 7/31, but the tracking status never got updated from there. I just went to check on the status and it's saying that the billing information has been received and that it has not been shipped yet. What's going on?

I am having this problem as well. i tracked the case this morning and it said it had left Maumee, Ohio. Now when i track it its back to "billing info received". i really hope something didn't happen to the package and that this is just UPS having issues with there tracking. But, seeing as weezite is also having this issue, i believe UPS is indeed having some issue with there website. I will track it tomorrow and see if anything changes. If not, i will contact UPS on Monday and find out what the hell is going on with our cases! lol

-EDIT: Ok, so i just checked UPS again for the hell of it. It seems they were having issues, i just tracked the case and it's now updated correctly and on the way to my door step! check again weezite, it should be fine now. Ugh, that had me a bit scared for a sec. thanks alot UPS! :(

For people who have the revo2 for the iphone 3g. How is it? Do you think that the plastic cover is a hassle taking it off every time you want to use your phone? Also does anyone have info when iskin.inc plan to make the fuze for 3g?

I wouldn't worry too much about whether the visor is a pain. If it is, just leave it on the back...or at home. I only plan to use mine for travel (i.e. when not in my pocket for some reason). Of course, I don't have mine yet (coming tomorrow), so I'm just thinking out loud. :D

Well just ended up going with an incase that they had at the store. Just really didn't want to pay 10 bucks for shipping plus the fact that it was already high in price.

However my old revo will fit pretty good. So I am happy for now, probably pick one up later on when they are in stores and I am ready for a change.

I received my revo2 on Friday and have been using it with no complaints since. I keep the visor on the backside of the revo2 while I'm around the house since i typically don't carry it around, but then place it back on the front when sticking it in my pocket when I leave. The quality is good and everything lines up with their appropriate locations. I've taken a couple calls with the visor on and had no problem pulling it out of my pocket, flipping the visor to the back and answering the call. It did add another second to my answer time, but I have not had an issue, nor do I mind with the protection it provides from direct screen impacts and contact with coins, keys, etc in my pocket. Pulling it in and out of my pocket adds a slight amount of resistance, but is not annoying or a burden. I think of it as a more secure feeling because my uncovered iphone had the tendency to almost slide out of my pocket when moving from sitting/standing. I own several other iSkin products for older ipods and they continue to make high-quality products!

Does anyone have the revo clip? I have read good and bad about it. I realy want a case with a clip and the Fuse or Revo could be it if the clip is solid and doesn't stick out too much,

Anyone using the included FILM (not hard visor) protector with the revo2? I'm debating between getting the power support crystal film or making do with the film protector the revo2 provides.

Wow, mine still hasn't even shipped yet and I bought it on 7/31. That is slow.

Great question, I was thinking about grabbing a DLO skin (apparently the ones that come with the Jam Jacket, which I don't need of course, are best) per this thread. But I wanted to see what the iSkin version was like first. Looks really blotchy (without having actually put it on). I'm currently using a Power Support anti-glare and love it for fingerprints/smudges (i.e. just about none) but wouldn't mind something a bit clearer. It's a trade-off that's hard to avoid, so you just have to find the right sweet spot for your taste.

Anyway, if someone puts on the iSkin film, please report back.

Taken straight from ilounge's review of the Iskin Revo2:

"Where the problem comes in with Revo2 is in the screen sensitivity. We found that using the included anti-glare film diminished the screen’s touch accuracy, and under certain conditions appeared to make parts of the screen unable to respond to our touches. Pulling the film off seemed to solve the problem. As with last year’s model, we’d gladly give up the hard plastic screen cover and the too-thick rectangle of film for a simple thin piece of full-face film. It would cut down the price and improve the case’s performance."

It seems the included film isnt too great. Some might want to go ahead and order a different film (Fullbodyfilm, Zagg, Powersupport, etc.) before you receive the case. You'll end up with a case but no screen protection :( . just a thought!

Thanks, I forgot about ilounge's comments on that topic. I think I'll try the DLO version and just pitch the iskin stuff. Seems like all these films would come from the same factory in China anyway!

Got Mine...

... just a few quick comments:

I love the feel of this new Revo2 skin, compared to the old one. Don't know exactly why, but it feels different. New texture, maybe?

Not a big fan of the screen film that comes with this. I am continuing to use the Power Support anti-glare film and despite iSkin's warnings, the proximity sensor works fine even through the PS film and the Revo2's frosted sensor cover.

The clip on visor fits rather tightly. And due to the curvature of the back of the iPhone, when you clip the visor on the back, it doesn't hug the phone like the old Revo's visor did. Kinda weird.

Speaking of the visor: A ding to iSkin for using stickers with gooey adhesive to attach the visor to the Revo in the box. Now my visor has sticky spots on its tabs which I can't fully remove. (Kristian, if you are reading this, can you all set me up with a clean visor?)

The dock plug comes out and goes back in very easily. Kudos to iSkin for improving this design to eliminate dock plugs that you can lose. (Remarkably, I only ever lost ONE of them permanently.)

Bonus: Not sure if everyone is getting this, but I received an iSkin baseball cap in the box with my Revo2.

So, I am very impressed! I'd recommend the Revo2 to anyone who wants to protect their iPhone 3G from scratches. (If only I'd had it BEFORE I got the phone... my Belkin silicone case let dust in and some of it put a few minor blemishes on the back of my black phone.)

Got My iskin/Revo2/Clip Today

Got my combo today. I love it. I feel like the iphone is so protected now and yet it doesnt impede its use.

The film protector that came with it is ok. I like the one I had on it before mainly because it was non-reflective.

The visor is no big deal BUT I will see how it does or does not slow me in answering calls. And it shows finger prints on it but a simple wipe removes them. Now Im speaking about the visor thing NOT the film or face of the iphone.

I DID get the clip. Nice. The clip does make you put the iphone face INTO your body side. I guess it adds an extra layer of protection. :)
it doesnt stick out too far and the clip will swivel. The swivel is a locking step so it doesnt freely spin around. Also, it makes for a nice stand when watching a movie.

So to sum up, Im taking it and the packaging, which was really nice(but who cares) to work tomorrow and going to advertise this product. I think its a good durable product and offers tremendous protection.

There is a cover which is easy to move out of the way for the docking/charging port and the headphones...nice touch.
The volume buttons are not exposed but still work fairly easily. The ringer/vibration button is exposed and is easy to operate.
The holes for the mic and speaker are great too.

Now if I can just find a car chargher that isnt way over prices. Anyone with suggests?

Baritony,

I also ordered the cover and belt slip. Will the phone fit into the clip if the plastic cover is not on the Revo? I was hoping to use the cover without the removable plastic shield.

Can't wait to try it.

Wo0t!

Got my iSkin today. It's quite nice. It's not quite as 'rubbery' as i thought it would be (by that I mean how well it grips) but am sure with more use it will be even better. It fits the phone well and comes in a well presented package. Well done. The screen cover and film, however, aren't amazing. The film left bubbles that I was unable to get rid of, no matter how hard I tried and the plastic screen cover doesn't really fit on the back properly. But it does fit securely on the front, and that's the place where it's important to have a good fit. Overall, I really like it - and love the colour, which appears to be a darker blue than on the iSkin website (but it's nicer in my opinion). So thanks iSkin. Would recommend this product to anyone!

I think Kristian opened a can of worms here, talk about PR when moving a new product out. Though I'm sure a bunch of us used the original iSkin cases for one reason or another and were waiting for the new one anyway. Hit this guy up man... (AIM: iskinkristian) he'll answer whatever questions you got much quicker than here...I personally was annoyed about shipping costs w/ a phone case so I stated my case along with an idea..

Thanks Kristian & others for posting pics! hopefully I'll get my case here soon...

(And yes, permission was given to post his SN here)

That blue is nice! I am torn between that and the black. Does anyone have pics of the black yet?

Edit: can anyone tell me what it is like taking it out of the clip? It seems like it would stick (which could be good).

I just received my Iskin today. I had one for my original Iphone so I figured I might as well stay with something that I am happy with and I am not disappointed at all. I had a Gelaskin for protection on it and I like how it came out with booth on. Not flashy but subtle.

It comes out easily. Its not gonna fall out but it moves well in and out. Just make sure that when you put it in the clip that the covers on the port below and earphone are closed or itll slow you down a bit

Yes you can use it with or withOUT the plastic cover. I have also put the phone with the plastic cover attached to the back of my iphone and didnt know I did that until I pulled my phone out of the clip the next time.

The only thing I would change is.. I wish I had gotten the blue cover.

How hard is it to pull our of your pocket with this case on ? Does the case make the phone feel cheap ? also how much lint does it pick up ?

Im on the fence here so im just trying to gather as much info as possible.

I wanted a Vaja but im not sure about that either. Such a nice phone to cover with all this rubber and leather.

Maybe just a clear skin ?

My apple store in west nyack finally has the Iskin 3G so i wonder if they will let me try it on my iphone for size :)
