Streaming audio works on my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but calls don't. Haven't tested it now that 8.0.2 is out, but I'll have to check to see if it still isn't working.

2013 Ford Escape works just like it did on the 5 and 5s. Still no reply to text messages like you can on the LG G3 but I've learned to except that.

My Acura RDX tech (2007) worked fine with my 6 and 8.0.0, now with 8.0.2 it connects but says no service when attempting a call, re-pairing or turning Bluetooth off and on the phone will get it to connect and dial, but it will lose BT connection randomly during a call.

Yeah it's fine on mine. But I believe the infotainment was new for the 2014 models, right?

Not sure when that system came out, but I have it in my 2013 sans the navigation module . Bluetooth controls worked fine with all of my androids but never on my iPhones.

You can hold the home button and use Siri to do that. Yes, not completely hands free but a single button press without needing to look at the phone isn't bad.

My phone 5 worked fine with it as well. I was worried about the 6 but everything works just fine. The only thing that didn't fair well was my iPod touch (the first one they released, it was still on ios4) but that's been since retired anyway.

Good luck though

For me, my F150 with ford sync doesn't work reliably with iPhone 6. I've reset all network connects, wiped ford sync, and can make it work but after a few hours it breaks again. The symptom is basically calls get dropped when the other party answers or if you answer an incoming call.

I think it has something to do with continuity...the multiple devices that show up under bluetooth based on your iCloud devices. When ford sync is the only paired device it works but as soon as my MBA or iPad pair up then ford sync breaks. This correlation is a little weak at the moment since I've only been trying to fix this for a couple of days now.

Search the internet shows this not to be just a ford problem. I'm curious what people here have found with hand free vehicle operation.
Your issue is highligted in your first sentence.

Mine worked for about a night but now is doing the same thing. I find it really strange that the Space Grey I6 that I bought on launch worked perfect. Then when I switched to Gold (also had 8.0 installed) and updated to 8.0.2 it stopped working. So strange.

I guess I'm going to call AppleCare to see what they are doing about this. I need my bluetooth working in my car. It's a must.

I'm actually tempted to buy another iPhone 6 running 8.0 just to test it out now. Or maybe book an appointment with a Genius and get a loaner to test out. Wish I never updated to 8.0.2. What a pain this has been.

For those that care... I did a little testing and it's not the bluetooth... it's my phone.

I have a friend who has the exact same car. I asked if he was having the same issues. Said his was all good.

We just went to my car and tested my phone. No go still. Then we deleted my phone and tried his. WORKED! We have the exact same phone (6) and are both running 8.0.2.

So I got a bum phone.

2014 Jeep Wrangler with Uconnect 430n.
IPhone 6 pairs, can use phone hands free and can stream audio from apps.

However, I cannot listen to visual voicemail, can't use Siri (iphone wants to use the car's mic via Bluetooth but doesn't hear my voice), I don't hear any notifications, either thru phone or car speakers so a lot of missed iMessages or texts.

iPhone 6+ on 8.0.2 with a 2013 F150 without my touch with sync and it does everything my 5s did. No reply to text but calls, audio, and Siri work just fine.

We have enough fanboi-ism here - no need to bring it into the realm of the $20,000+ consumer goods level...

Given the track record of both products I wouldn't put it past that there could be an issue with some of the hardware abstraction. Hopefully it is simply a matter of software updates and not a widespread physical issue

I can pair to my 2013 Honda Pilot with my 6 plus no problem. My issue is 30 seconds into the call the bluetooth connection goes away, 4 seconds later it returns. It will do this every few minutes throughout the conversation. I removed the pairing, reset network settings on the phone and connected everything again. It worked well for the test call that lasted about 15 minutes. The next morning, same issue was back with dropping and retuning. I'm still testing and wonder if its not the phone trying to discover other devices in the car or something. I don't know.

iPhone 6 paired with 2013 Honda Civic LX, voice calls and music from iPhone thru car speakers. Settings in Honda were originally used by iPhone 5 and didn't need to be altered. (iOS 8.0 > 8.0.2 > 8.1 > 8.1.1)

Interesting. I can play music without issue via bluetooth but phone calls still drop and come back every minute or two throughout the call. Its annoying and the people I talk with most are starting to get used to it because its so often. When it happens, the bluetooth symbol disappears from the dash for 3-4 seconds then returns. I do not notice it go away when the phone is idle, just when I'm on a call. Maybe the phone is trying to connect to another device or something. Still testing.

Just took a drive for an errand and thought I would test an idea. I had another phone in my bluetooth list that I use from time to time. Not normally in the car with me. Anyhow, I removed it from the devices list in the car and had two successful conversations. Not enough of a test to confirm my issue is gone but it was nice not having the call drop off and come back the whole time.
