China and Brazil have huge populations, those might be good candidates... hmm, I'd have to think of where else makes sense, I'm sure there's many places...

(for lots of reasons including: they went to the moon with a computer less powerful than the one in a washing machine yet they can't synchronise a set of traffic lights along a mian road in any capital city in Australia)
They'll tease us for a week, announce the date for a week later, disappear back to the US and blame further delays for the store on a record company.

I, too, will be curious to see the price point - I hope after all this time it is nothing too unreasonable...![]()
It's actually pretty tough. To be successful, the price has to be right for the market and there needs to be sufficient iPod penetration.~Shard~ said:China and Brazil have huge populations, those might be good candidates... hmm, I'd have to think of where else makes sense, I'm sure there's many places...

~Shard~ said:A little bit pricey, no?
Chundles said:Yup, but if it's $16.99 for an album like it was in April then that's a bit over half what we pay now for a CD.
The record labels will want more though, much more...
~Shard~ said:Yah, I suppose when you put it in perspective... Well, I hope it doesn't end up being too costly for you guys - you almost deserve a price break for waiting so long!![]()
OziMac said:Yeah, if only you were calling the shots Shard, rather than those lovely Australian record company people, we'd all be much happier for it
There's been so much too-ing and fro-ing over this whole thing, I just worry that it'll be a bit of an anti-climax when it finally arrives - I mean, do you non-iTunes deprived people keep using it in sufficiently greater volume than you would buy normal CDs?
It'll be nice to know it's there and use it occasionally, but realistically I wonder how much difference it will make to my own purchasing habits - but if it's a hit for Apple, that's a good thing - maybe we might eventually get iPhoto prints here (since we're not officially part of 'the rest of the world').![]()

You must me talking about old stock at Sanity. Otherwise, what the hell?? New release albums at BigW are $19-21.Chundles said:Yup, but if it's $16.99 for an album like it was in April then that's a bit over half what we pay now for a CD.
