That's right. Maybe you have kids, maybe you don't, but when they are 16 and driving to school for the first time, you want to be available at all times, just in case. :)

Nonsense. What did people do before cell phones? They waited for the kids to come home from school and talk to face to face? If an accident happened, the police knocked on the door.

How is being available by text going to make any difference? Probably worse anyway, as it almost is encouraging your kids to text while driving.

If your kid gets hurt, you being available by text isn't going to change anything, unless you are a paramedic or a doctor.

I have kids. I certainly don't need constant communication or contact. If something horrible happens, I'll find out sooner or later. If something good happens -- same. You really can't wait until the day is over to hear from them?

Will cargo pants come back in style, so people can place their iPhablet 6 in the side pocket?

They went out of style?

Guess I never really noticed, since my work pants have 10 pockets, 2 of which are made for flashlights.

OP, does it fit in your front pocket? I realize the intent is to hear a text right away but in your back pocket on public transport, do you really hear anything? As for feeling, I hardly ever feel the vibration. Not sure why.

theft-gate!

don't be so silly-gate.

I've carried the 1, 3G, 4, 4S, 5, 5s and now 6+ in my back pocket and sat on them daily with no bending and I'm a pretty big guy. 240lb 6'2".

Wait wtf!? Peeps really keep them in their back pocket and actually sit on them?! Hahaha, you must be kidding right?

I did a bit of a dry run at home before I hit the bus and tried it in my front pocket. With straight legs, it fits pretty well and is hidden. When sitting, however, it nearly falls out as it's pushed about half way out. I can shove it back in, but it's uncomfortable to say the least.

Obviously, when I saw that it was standing room only on the bus, I should have moved the phone from the back to the front. Lesson learned.

Actually I see people wearing them a lot. I personally wear 5.11 tactical pants and in the summer I wear mainly 5.11 tactical shorts unless I'm going out where more formal dress is needed. I usually keep my iPhone in a holster clamped on my belt placed strategically in a location where I would definitely know when something strange was happening.

I hate to hear folks having things stolen off their person because of low life's but it's really up to the individual to take the necessary precautions.

I open carry. If someone wants to get shot they can try.

How did you not kick him in the head after you caught him trying to take your phone? It seems everyone is so worried about being sued this day, that they allow themselves to be victims by not ever dishing out consequences to bullies/criminals/wrongdoers.

People fighting back is much more of a deterrent than the criminal justice system.

I think shooting somebody dead for attempting or even stealing your phone is rather over the top lol. A civilised world demands a civilised response.

In most states he'll also go to prison for murder or at least manslaughter.

Lethal force is typically only justified when in fear of death or great bodily harm. Not when your iPhone might get stolen.

Thank goodness for that.
Some of the news we hear about here about shootings in the States is bad enough as it is. I could see Apple getting the blame for this too :p

You're altering your everyday wardrobe for a phone

I found myself doing this the day after my + so I have since returned it and got a 6 and it is much better. The phone suits my life, I am not suiting my phone's life.

my $.02

Agree 100%. I too returned the 6 plus after 2 days and got the 6. Much happier. The 6 Plus was just too damn big!

My Advice:

Front pocket wouldn't allow me to sit down and laptop case wouldn't allow me to know if I get a text from the family, so I put it in my back pocket.

If you had worn this, you wouldn't have to worry about the 6+ fitting in your front pockets...

What good is a stolen iPhone 6 to anyone, though? With activation lock, it'll make a half-decent paperweight, but not much more.

Still good to sell it for parts. $300+ minimum in your pocket.

So that's why never put expensive phones in back pockets that you cannot see what's happening behind you.

Maybe its because I'm a butt guy, but it seems like 90% of women carry their phones in the back pocket (or their purse and I just don't see it)....

I dont understand anyone whos having trouble fitting the 6+ in their front pocket.

For god sakes I wear a size 29/30 Slim fit dress pants and skinny everyday pants, and it fits perfectly.

What is everyone's problem?
