I bought the Vision Pro for entertainment much like my iPad Pro. I can look at photos on my iPhone, but it’s a much better experience looking at them on my iPad. The Vision Pro is then the next level especially for panoramic photos. I’d never go back to looking at panoramics on another device. Now that 3 months have passed, I'd love to read an update from those of you who were early adopters and successful incorporators of the device.
- Are you using AVP as much as the early days? More? Less?
- If you had to do without it for a couple weeks, what would you miss?
- For those of us who don't have one, what would you name as the biggest thing we're missing out on?
I’m continually checking for new apps and have found a number of very impressive ones that I’ve spent a lot of time using. I’ve played 3D games, toured works of art and like @Roller mentions I’ve used the Voyager app.
I’m probably using it more each day because I found more apps I’m interested in.
Being a Star Trek fan, my favorite app is The Archive which shows the ship bridges and other rooms in a 360° view and 3D. For a Trek fan it’s amazing! I would miss this app the most by far. There is just so much content already and they have plans to add more.
It’s funny to me when people say they can just use their iPad and don’t need a Vision Pro. I could say the same about my iPad. The Vision Pro just opens up a new way of viewing everything. Whether it’s being surrounded by various windows or watching a 3D Star Wars movie in the Disney app that puts you in an outdoor theater on Tatooine, the Vision Pro just immerses you in ways other devices cannot.
Each person is going to use it differently. For some, viewing movies might be the primary use case. Others will use it for work given its ability to display so many apps at once. I’m just excited by all the things it does already and I’m looking forward to the next OS and more immersive content.
