Well this is interesting...Even though I disputed the charge with my credit card company earlier in the week and already have the credit being processed, the tracking number is still active. What's interesting is that the information actually updated and it now says the package was processed through a sort facility in NJ last night...

they did tell me I would be getting a refund and the case

Ohh and pics.....you know the rest ;)

Suggesting people call the cops is a bit much. I don't think they had any intent to decieve and/or defraud. It really looks like some shipping and supply chain issues combined with apple doing the free case thing caused them to try to keep as many customers as possible while at the same time the product was delayed getting to them. Shady and unethical, yes. A crime, no.

I do think it would be kind if funny if they accidentally shipped cases and refunded money due to the way they ran this whole thing. That would be some karma for sure.

At some point I'm going to shoot them an email (Lord knows if they'll actually respond) and see if they'll let me keep the case even though I already had the charge reversed. If not I'll make sure they send me a prepaid shipping label because there's no way I intend to pay a dime for anything related to this. I've already paid with my time and that's plenty valuable :)

Maveric, when did you order your case? I ordered on the 10th and still no update on the tracking info. Did you order before me?

I just checked my tracking number and it said that it was processed in NJ as well. Looks like the products are finally moving.

Let's hope it's good news. Keep us updated on what you get (be it a case, or a box of sand). No update on my tracking number or refund, ordered 7/7.

Mine still hasn't moved. I filed a complaint/refund through Paypal but it is still pending.

I would encourage everyone to file a complaint with the BBB and make sure you mention "IvySkin" in your posts on Macrumors.

Their BBB activity is already starting to rank in organic search...let's get this thread ranking as well.

Mine was also processed through the sort facility in NJ at 7:04 PM 7-30-2010.

I ordered on 7-7 and received a "shipping confirm" email on 7-18

Mine still: ordered on 9th July
Class: First-Class Mail International
Service(s): International Letter
Status: Electronic Shipping Info Received

The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on July 22, 2010 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

sigh i read this thread wayy too late =(

i just placed an order on these yesterday...hope i will get it eventually...

For those who have reversed their payments through PayPal: doesn't paypal take a huge fee for doing this? Perhaps I'm just thinking of when buying through eBay. Got ripped off once and by the time PayPal took their fee it was hardly worth claiming.

What type of paypal account do you have? I've never been charged fees when filing a dispute to get my money back on eBay. Full amount refunded every time.

Actually it looks like it changed a while back. It was the eBay buyer protection policy where there was something like a £25 admin fee. Seems like PayPal now provides the protection rather than ebay and their is no fee.

Those of you concerned as to why you have no shipping updates should relax. From Maverick's screenshot it looks like they're shipping using first class mail with delivery confirmation. Consider yourself lucky if your first class package is actually scanned on it's way too you. Technically the only time they have to scan it is upon delivery. The real question I have is why are they shipping first class? This tells me that not only are they being cheap the packaging for this case must be cheap as well. If the cheap packaging is any indication of the quality of this case then be prepared to be disappointed..

What do you mean "scan upon delivery"? You mean delivery at the post office? If so, that's not true at all. I've sold many items on eBay. Whenever I pay/print the shipping label, it already puts it in the system as information received. I'm positive IvySkin just printed the labels, & hasn't even finished production of the cases yet.

USPS is not obligated to scan a delivery confirmation label until the item is delivered. It is not a tracking label. There's a difference. Fortunately for many of us the delivery confirmation labels due get scanned at various locations during it's shipping process allowing the receipient to track it's progress. This probably happens because it gets mixed in with the higher priority packages.

There are shipping restrictions to shipping first class. I believe it can't be more than 14 to 16oz? Either way this tells me there's isn't much bulk to this package which means these are probably cheap cases that don't deserve quality packaging therefore I wouldn't be surprised if they're throwing these things in bubble mailers.

should relax.

Not a bloody chance I'll relax, I have been waiting since the 9th of July for my order!
I'm sick to the teeth of this company, I bought 2 cases at around £27 gbp. I know it's not the end of the world to lose that, although to be lied to is what I hate!

I don't want any more excuses...I just want my money back or my case

Relax. I'm referring to USPS and the scanning of their shipping labels, not ivyskin. It's not USPS's fault that you don't have your case yet.
