So I wonder if tomorrow will be the magic day and someone somewhere will actually get one of these cases? I am giving them until Monday and then taking action with Pay Pal. I know, I know, I am an eternal optimist. :)

Heh, at least one person in this thread needs to be

Alternative Case

Folks,

Same story here. Ordered on 7/12, credit card charged on 7/15, shipping notice on 7/19, never got case and the same canned email exchanges.

I did some digging on Google and found a comment that some recommended this case: http://www.switcheasy.com/products/NUDE_iPhone4/NUDE_iPhone4.php#

I purchased one on 7/27, got shipping notice next day, and have case on phone today 7/30! It is very nice, and I am pleased with it. Check it out.

Dispute your Credit Card Charge

If you haven't yet, and ordered directly using your CC, contact your cc company to dispute the charges. What will happen is that Ivyscam will need to respond to each dispute, and with sooooo many, their merchant account provider is likely to suspend or even cancel their ability to take credit cards. Kind of hard to rip off customers when that happens :p

Looking forward to seeing what there new BBB rating will be
My prediction:

Sam Problem

Just went through the same thing with Ivy Skin as everyone else. My card was charged on July 7. Received an email that my case shipped on 7/17. It has never arrived. I have called their customer service number a zillion times and emailed them. It rings and just sends you back to the original reception recording. I'm doubtful this is a legitimate company. I just called my credit card company and disputed the charge. They promised I'd have a credit within 48 hours.

Anyone who lives close actually thought of calling the police?

Would there be enough evidence/info to call the police? people who live close could say they suspect fraud ? Print off this thread and highlights every persons complaint on it

I would love to see their faces if the local police knocked on their door! To think they were getting away with something and its now been taken to the next level

Although I still urge everyone to keep filling complaints to the BBB about them

They are a different company. I have ordered from them in the past and have received my merchandise and very quick in fact.

finally got round to submitting the bbb complaint, I wish ivyskin could just be honest about the delay, I have a temporary case so am happy to wait if they could just be honest about the order.

I guess the best thing is to request the refund and order again IF they ever get the item in stock, looks like the belkin micra will start shipping before then so will probably wait for reviews on that and order the belkin if i like it. The "promise" of a shipping charge refund if the item doesnt arrive by Aug 2nd is tempting me to keep the order a little longer though. Submitted the bbb complaint now though so will leave it and see what happens.

Honestly dont understand why they think continually lying to their customers will do them any good.

Go over to the Element Case thread and check it out, that company is doing the exact same thing (minus the fake shipping numbers). They have had about 10 different stories and still no cases, yet everyone is charged in full. Its ironic that Ivy and Element Case were announced together as "reception" fix cases.

The police would laugh you out of the station. FTC might make more sense since there are specific rules for shipping times and notification of customers on delays.

They first promised that refund for the 31st, now it's the 2nd. You think you'd ever see it? Next they'll move it to the 4th, than the 6th, then "by Christmas."

Element Case makes no claims that their product fixes the reception issue.

O Rly?

http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/07/element-case-ivyskin-out-iphone-4-cases-specifically-to-deal-wi/

Also,

The Element Case website used to specifically say that it fixed the antenna issue... they recently updated it however to state that:

The inside of the Vapor case is lined with a very high tech shock absorbing material that reduces the G-forces of an impact. It also creates
a non-conductive barrier to help maintain the iPhone's antenna signal strength.

Ya rly.

From their FAQs.

"Q:Will the Vapor case improve my signal?

A:It may or it may not. We don't make claims that it does."

Yeah, that is the updated version. Originally there was no FAQ section and they said it was specifically designed for the reception issue ( see engadget link ). They recently added that stuff to the FAQ along with the other ******** about manufacturing and shipping problems, etc.

Well this is interesting...Even though I disputed the charge with my credit card company earlier in the week and already have the credit being processed, the tracking number is still active. What's interesting is that the information actually updated and it now says the package was processed through a sort facility in NJ last night...

Looks like they're finally shipping!
