So I just got my case! The packaging is crap but the case is actually quite nice. Fits very well and the slots are perfectly cut out. The case and the edges are very smooth, I love how this case feels on my phone! I will give a more detailed review and try out the screen protectors in a few days, but for now i'm going out of town and was anxiously waiting for my case to arrive in the mail today.

Any of you guys know Roku66? He/she is a newbie so it sounds kind of fishy. I wouldn't be surprised if IvySkin signed up for an account and posted here.

EDIT: Nevermind, I see other posts by Roku66. I really hope I get my case today!

OK, the mailman just left. He even had a package from Ivyskin for me. The only issue is that (and you will not freaking beleive this) there was no case inside. Thats right, the top flap was open and there was nothing inside. I was able to flag the guy down on the next street over and got him to refuse the package on teh grounds that there was obvious damage and the envelope was open, so hopefully, Ivyskin will send me another.

I wish I had taken a picture, but I did not expect an empty package and did not take my phone with me and since I had to run around the block to catch the guy as with Ivskin's issues, I was a little afraid of what might happen if the delivery confirmation went through, so I did not think to run in and grab the phone or camera for pics. This was a crappy 6" x9" paper mailer with bubble liner inside. The glue was the self stick with part of it on the envelope and part on the flap. The only problem was that the glue was like the envolopes that are resuable, so it did not have enough tack - it was just slightly more sticky than a Post-it. The envelope itself was undamaged, the flap was just wide open. I will be completely unsurprised if this happens to others if all the envelopes were the same. And the label definitely said 7-20 on it.

So, I have to give them a call now. This ought to be a good.

And people were joking about how IvySkin would send just the packaging with nothing inside...

A little off topic here but that's ok since a lot of other posts in here are off topic as well. Ivyskin should take some lessons on customer service from Griffin. On July 28th I bought a Griffin Reveal from Best Buy. I realized that it was the one with the flash issue so I called Griffin the next day. They immediately sent me an email with instructions. All I had to do was print out the email, take a picture of the case on top of the printout of the email and then email that picture to them along with a scanned copy or picture of my receipt. Did that and received a replacement case with the updated cutout on the back this morning. Now that's customer service! Meanwhile Ivyskin has lied to me countless times and I still don't have my case from them. What a difference between those two companies.

Thats the first thing that crossed my mind when I felt the empty envelope! I just had to laugh to myself as this has been such a saga, this is the perfect end (or non-end ) to it.

Pics or it didn't happen (which I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't ;))

OK, just got off the phone with Ivyskin and before I could even talk, the guy launched into the whole shebang about why they were late, so obviously they are getting plenty of calls. So, I stopped him and said, I know they whole deal, because this is what just happened (explained story above). He said no problem and they will send me another one. I asked for it to be expedited and hopefully they will be able to do it, but he was kind of non-committal.

PS, I may be somewhat new to this forum, but I had been reading for years and signed up when I was deciding to wait in line for the iPhone 4. I posted pictures of the lineup at the Southpoint store in Durham, NC on launch eve/day (check teh meetups forum) and have been posting in this thread very early. I know I have no proof without pics, but this is really what happened. :)

 omg that is freakin ridiculous

BUT how do we know you don't work for belkin or sumthin ;) :D joke hehe

Do you have an iPhone 4 dock to try it in? Does it connect reliably to the dock?

Two shills from opposing companies toying with everyone all along?! Could it be? I think we're going to have to defer to Internet rules here: from now on pics or GTFO! LOL :D

I received my Ivyskin Reception Case today. I just registered to post pics to prove this but I have been following this thread in hopes of the cases finally sending. Overall it was meh. The right side of the case doesnt fit tightly like the left side and I'll probably be using my bumper since it's grown on me while waiting forever for this to get here. Here are some quick pics I snapped as proof. Like the prev person said the casing is cheapish lookin lol. I havent applied the screen protectors that came with bc I have on power support crystal clears on and love it!

Thanks for the pics. It totally slipped my mind that a case like that would pick up fingerprints like crazy. The $5-6 equivalent on eBay probably is just as good (or bad depending on your viewpoint).

I can't really tell from that last picture but it looks like the edge of the phone still rises above the case, is that what I'm seeing?

Ya the fingerprint business I didn't enjoy seeing. Even after wiping it down a bit they just plopped back and were pretty noticable. And yes the front of the phone is noticably higher than the case sides.

It could just be my camera and me taking quick pics but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Especially for the bad customer service and wait!

thanks for posting pics, oh dear how awful they photoshopped the belkin pic, lied to all and sent something altogether quite different

the camera flash part spells trouble, will deffo get flash issues right?
how pathetic of ivyskin, can't believe they got a mention on engadget which is what drew me to this case in the first place

After seeing this and the fact that my tracking information updated to show it was delivered today, I really think I'm just going to mark it as Return to Sender and dump it back in the mail when I get home.

Switcheasy Nude Case Comparison

Since it appeared I was not getting the Ivyskin, I ordered a Switcheasy Nude Clear case. Here are pics so you can compare to the Ivyskin pics. I like it better than what I have just seen. The cutouts are more precise, etc.

And, no BS when ordering. Ordered and in hand in just 3 days! Here is link: http://www.switcheasy.com/products/NUDE_iPhone4/NUDE_iPhone4.php#

Both cases are crap...poorly designed and feels cheap.

Sigh, back to the drawing board.

1) Didn't like the Apple bumper, raised my screen proctectors...
2) Ivyskin Clear and Nude Clear are just poor products

My only hope is the Incase Snap Clear.

As of now, i'm going caseless with a Wrapsol Matte back and a PS Crystal front.

It's a shame that Powersupport will not be making their Air Jacket case for the iPhone 4

be careful taking the nude off if you ever need to i have read they are tricky to take off, particularly the hold/vol button area, and results in case being warped. Which is putting me off at the mo.

right email sent off to ivyskin, demanding a refund, paypal dispute was only raised last week so not heard back yet.

Did ivyskin see the belkin imag,e photoshop it, send it to someone in china, ask them to copy it and end up with this?!?!

Those photos look exactly like the $7 case I got off of ebay! It does not fit well either, but they have a replacement on the way to me now. The case is just a hair too narrow and the volume buttons do not line up correctly.

I got the Switch easy too, pretty poor really easily scratched

I had an AirJacket for my 3GS, scratched big time. This one is starting to scratch a bit as well. I think it will be hard to find a "crystal" clear case that is not going to scratch. I also have the Belkin Grip Vue which is not bad, just not as clear as I would like, but would definitely provide more protection if I drop the phone.
