Ivyskin Reception Case - shipping confirmation?

Just received my case today - after waiting a long while - mid July. It would be "okay" if it actually fit the phone. The right side of the case does not fit the phone like the left side as other commenters have noted. The result causes a weird creaking and squeezing every time you grab the phone. Not exactly what you want with such a fine piece of equipment. Guess I'll have to wait my 2-4 more weeks for my free case from apple.

what a bust! If it actually fit snugly I would've kept it. Not the best quality material (plastic), but if it fit flush it would've been perfect to keep the shape and still make the phone look good.

What a piece of junk case. You guys were worrying not getting the case and now you have to deal with getting refund from these mofvucker.

it doesn't seem like a lot of protection for the phone. Plus the fatal point is................... go try to take a picture with the flash light on! you will have a white glow in your picture because of the light reflected by the clear case.
 
So disappointed. I'm glad I waited on this. Makes me wonder how that caze zero 5 case will turn out. Why has it been so hard to get a quality slim lightweight case for the iPhone 4?
 
oh this is unacceptable.i have demanded my refund from ivyscam and filed a dispute with paypal.how could they think no one would notice this case they sent out is not the same as the original.:rolleyes: bunch of scam artists.i will also file a complaint on the bbb site.this is ****ing ridiculous
 
Such a shame the case didn't live up to its hype!

Hopefully the Belkin Micra will be as the pictures show it to be - for anyone interested in the Belkin from the UK - Play.com have it for only £10 on pre-order!
 
Heads up. I got a refund confirmation via email back on the 28th. My refund from ivyskin appeared in my bank account today! That's the end of the debacle for me guys. Thanks for banding together everyone! Good luck!
 
Is this still a problem? Is there anywhere in the UK where I can buy an ivyskin case legit?

*Electronic Shipping info Received, July 19, 2010!

*Processed through Sort Facility, August 2, 2010! Kearny, NJ

They're suppose to deliver by August 3 today or else, per their email to me, they will have to refund my shipping charges. Do you think it will be delivered today? I lived at San Diego, CA so I doubt it and if that's the case, they better refund my shipping charge but if the case turns out to be bad, then I might have to return it anyway. I'll keep you guys posted. :rolleyes:
 
Well it sounds like even if I finally get the Ivyskin it is not going to be what I wanted. So I bought another brand called Amzer Soft Gel TPU Skin Case - Clear and it arrived today. Over all I am pretty happy with it. The fit is a little too tight, so I heated the case up with a hair dryer before putting it on and that made things fit better. If the case had been just a hair wider it would have fit perfect. The feel is nice - not at all like silicon and also not like hard plastic - sort of in the middle. Fit over the buttons is ok, all buttons function fine. The only real issue is the watermarking on the back, but I would guess that this might be an issue with all clear cases? There does not appear to be any issues with the flash.

Canceled mine as well after all the waiting, the fact that I can't get a hold of anyone on the phone and seeing this thread...hope there are better alternatives out there!

Well I finally got my refund; big lesson learned and "case" closed! :D

I'm going to carry on with my Case Mate Tough until a clear case I like emerges (hopefully it'll be the Belkin Micra I'm waiting on).

Yes the image is a Decal Girl decal on the back of the phone and the sides. It also came with a front skin but I did not like the feel of the edges around the screen so I removed that one.

Watermarking is when parts of the back of the case sort of 'stick' to the back of the phone leaving suction marks.

Here is a photo of the back from one angle looking pretty clear.

Overall I think that I can live with it. The reason I wanted a clear case was so that the decal would show through, and it serves that purpose well enough. This case also has a front lip for table protection for the front screen, and over all seems like it would provide good drop protection. Not as slim and cool as I would have liked but hey it works!

Based on mine, you will definitely not have it today. By the end of week almost certainly, but not today.

I got a $7 clear hard case from eBay and it "watermarks" as well. It was VERY tight fit with the decal. I am using it with a Gelaskin decal. I think it's the decal and not a case problem. It's also 2 pieces which I wasn't crazy about and had a number of mold markings on it..

Anybody Leaving Review On Ivyskin.com?

It's amazing that all the reviews on IVYSCAM's website are basically all 5 stars! Now that the case has finally shipped and people are finding out that they have been scammed with getting an inferior product that is not even the same that was advertised, I find it hard to believe there are no bad reviews on their website. I doubt anybody can give these dirtbags anything higher than 1 star. So not only did they lie, show you one style and deliver a different one, they will not let you put your honest review on their bogus website. Wow...true scammers from a to z!

I've sent them e-mails this past Friday, yesterday, and today and haven't received any response (not even a canned email) from them. I didn't think it was possible but their customer service got even worse...

the staff probably reviewed the product.

Does improve the reception! Review by pting (Posted on 7/12/10) The case didn't even come out!!!!!! bunch of BS
