January 27" iMac Orders! (Those ordered in January)

I ordered my iMac on January 11th. It shipped out of China on the 30th, went to Anchorage, Memphis, and now it's in Oakland. I live in San Francisco (just across the bay). Fedex shows my Mac arriving in Oakland about 3:00am this morning, so I hope it makes it to San Francisco for delivery today. The estimate is for delivery tomorrow (my birthday)!!

Update: My iMac arrived at the local San Francisco Fedex station at 7:11 this morning. I'm not sure if that's early enough to go out for delivery today. Fingers crossed!

Update 2: It's on the truck, out for delivery!!

Holy crap I was getting scared for a second thinking that FedEx forgot about me! I literally, just 30 seconds ago received my bundle of joy! The FedEx driver said he's been delivering a buttload, just on his route, which is saying quite a bit. Because I only has a small portion of one town here. So there are A LOT of people ordering these things...

I have to head to Orlando right now to swap out a desk at IKEA (the Fredrik model that I bought had a defective leg, the press fitting was loose and with a little pressure you could nearly make the front right side of the desk collapse, lol), and then when I get back I'll put the desk together, get the iMac out and running. Check everything and weigh in! Good luck with yall's orders! I hope you get them soon. Especially solarno. His and mine arrived at Memphis together, so hopefully he'll get his soon.
 
If only my old iMac died on me a month later :'(

This is going to be one long-ass month.
 
Delivering today!

Ordered Jan 12, prepped on the 31st. And it is out on the truck for delivery today! I will update the spreadsheet when I get it!

Update: Got it! It's now sitting on my desk at work just taunting me! Updated the spreadsheet as well.

Do you think that the fact the 27" iMac delivery times is slipping here in Europe, will have any effect on the orders we've already placed??
 
I am trying to track my order via expeditors.com, but it says no data. I am using my 82xxx number. Is it because TNT is delivering, or am I in the wrong website?

I've been trying to do the same, without luck. I'm able to track on UPS' site, but it's just showing that my iMac has been stuck in Germany for the last 24 hours.

I'm not sure how other people seem to know flight numbers, etc.
 
I've been able to track using expeditors quite easily

But I have a question. I have a reference starting 45 with 4 more numbers

Is that a format that anyone recognises ( UK) which courier might that be?

Expeditors says ' out for delivery'.

I just don't know who to, it may be yet another delivery company?

Btw. Apple phoned me 3 times Friday and twice today already trying to get this thing to me. I can't praise the dedication of the staff in Ireland enough.

According to FedEx, mine is on a truck and out for delivery. :)
I can't wait to put my final update on the spreadsheet.

My iMac is in London! Awaiting clearance but seemingly on target for delivery on Thursday.

Reading around it seems it may get delivered on Wednesday which would be a pain as I'd miss it.

Not long now. In perspective it's not a massive wait but Apple could communicate better.

I ordered Jan8, shipped out of China same time as yours. My tracking shows it arrived Oakland 12:48 AM Sunday 2/3 and it is still there. Did you order fast shipping?

mine was stuck clearing customs most of today

but its been delivered to consignee now. Wherever that might be

I think its too much to expect delivery tomorrow, so perhaps Wednesday.

and yes Apples tracking is uber pants. its ridiculous to have to go cyber stalker spy tracking through Expeditors. That stuff should be on Apples website, like others have suggested like Dominos tracker

at the very least there should be an app for that. and i'm sure they are capable of far far better tracking. Im even sure that some people would pay to be given that option.

I think mine has ended up a day behind yours which isn't bad really. Can't believe I'll be on my imac by the weekend! I'm gonna hate work next week. ;)

working from home is the best :D:D

and yes, i think a day after mine. you never know you may get it on the same day, which would actually be fairer considering we ordered on the same day.

Mines in with yours I think....sitting awaiting clearance from customs....

Annoying thing is I've booked to work from Home next Monday as per the Apple site saying it'll be the 11th. However,it appears that it may be here by Thursday looking at http://www.expeditors.com/ as they state the 7th. Might have to speak with work and try to work from home that day too/instead of.

Working at home clearly means I can't play with it on arrival though....just means I can get it in and warm it up ready for "play time"
 
Expeditors shows that my unit arrived at Heathrow around 2pm this afternoon. Anyone have a clue as to how long it will take to make it 90 mins further west to my pad in Wiltshire?
