you can check the origin of the consignment? also when it does arrive check where it was assembled as it will be written on the back.

Where can I check that? I ordered Parallels along with the iMac so I cant track my shipment. This message was on the tracking page:

Please Note: Your items dispatched from different locations and will be merged together before delivery. Once merged, your Order Status will be updated with carrier and tracking information (at latest 48 business hours before your estimated delivery date).

get the number starting 82 from document accessible from 'my orders' when it says shipped there are 2 numbers available, one does nothing in the early stages one takes you to a document with that number

then put the 82 number into www.expeditors.com

and mines apparently reached its final destination ? um, i don't live at Heathrow airport, waiting to clear customs though.

Ooooh, mine has just gone to 'preparing for shipment'. And I mean just, because I checked it about ten mins ago and on a whim refreshed.

I shouldn't be this excited about a computer. But still am.

Still need to sort out its room (painting and carpeting), buy a desk, buy RAM, buy speakers, buy those lazercut wooden key things...

Can we have your date you ordered? What specs you ordered? And expected date of delivery in the first place?

I typed the reference number (starting with 82) in the expeditors site but all i got was "No data available in table".

Kinda lame that I can't greet my baby at the gate. So.. it'll be in town tonight, but they won't deliver til Wednesday? :(

Well if it gets to your area sooner, they will deliver it sooner. They wont hold a shipment at a facility, just to wait until the estimated delivery date to deliver it. A lot of people have reported getting theirs days early. One even reported getting it four days earlier than FedEx's estimation. Mine is on it's way to Orlando Int'l right now, well actually, now it's AT Orlando Int'l, as the plane landed at 6:13pm, and from there it's only a one hour truck ride to where the trucks go out for delivery here. So I'm pretty sure I'll have mine tomorrow. And FedEx originally gave me a delivery estimate of Wednesday, Feb. 6th...

Yeah, it's a bit lucky - even with a day processing and a few days shipping it should still be here earlier than planned.

Been keeping an eye on the spreadsheet and the ones on the 14-15th were just starting to get prepared, so I've been expecting for it to change in the next couple of days but this is excellent.

Is it me or has the RAM upgrade price from crucial jumped by about 20%? It's like they knew my imac had shipped!

i7, 8gb, 3.4Ghz, 3TB Fusion, 680MX
prepared for shipment :D

delivery on apple page between 07 Feb, 2013 - 14 Feb, 2013

When did you order yours? So we can know how long it took to go into preparing for shipment. Thanks.

How much is it now? When I bought my 32 GB Crucial Ram it was only $86 per 16GB and i got 2 of them so thats $172.00 no tax or shipping with Amazon if you are a prime member.

From the UK - it's gone from about £62 for a 16GB pair to about £74. I know it's not a massive amount given the cost of the iMac, but it's still a jump.

Hadn't thought about checking amazon, went with crucial because I don't want to get the wrong type.

EDIT: Amazon is much more expensive. £80 for the pair.

Well, since you asked so nicely...

Looks like they are being built faster, just as they stated, production would increase. I ordered mine on January 19th, i7, 3.4, 3TB Fusion 8GB, 680. I should see this BTO change to preparing for shipping this week....

Mine has been preparing for two days now, and is still not shipped...

That is a bit unusual. However I have seen in a couple places that it did take this one guy near the third day to go to shipped, but that was a rare incident. Maybe yours will be done tonight later on.

it has to be because of the 3rd party involved. Apple has to send it to you and it seems judging by what I have seen on this forum that Apple does not give priority to 3rd party companies. Apple must think it will take 2 weeks delay to ship to them then they ship to you. Hope this is not the case and you get it sooner. I hate to wait as well. I am only 2 weeks 5 days or 19 days and i am going crazy with this wait. Most seems to see movement on their status within 17-24 days with 18-22 days about the average time it takes to see it change to prepared for Shipment.

Not to butt in line (so to speak) but I hope mine goes before yours since I placed my order on Jan 15th, 4 days before yours. But it could be the configuration that I chose that is causing the problem or delay.

Well, don't know what they are waiting for. Probably waiting for CC authorization, or something else. Sent an email to the apple rep I ordered the iMac through. Very little chance that he knows what the holdup is, but at least I have documented a complaint.

Could everybody please update the spreadsheet as their status changes. It helps others to get a better understanding of the situation AND in case of delays, you have some kind of "proof" if the reseller or apple rep is not taking you seriously.

I thought I'd pitch in:

Ordered: January 18th 2013
Shipping to: Belgium

Config:

3.2GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X4GB

Expected delivery between February 14th - 21st

My order has changed to "processing items" when I checked this morning.

Couldn't tell if it changed just today or in the course of this weekend since I deliberately withheld from checking frantically :D

Last time I checked was last week on Wednesday or Thursday though.

Hope this info helps.
