i really don't wanna know what they have accomplished till now if at the end of their post it says " NO JAILBREAK YET , NO JAILBREAK TODAY "

Some of us are interested in the technical aspects of jailbreaking and appreciate such information. Not all of us are interested only in what the Dev-Team is going to do for us.

i actually think they wont release anything any time soon i don't know why they even bother putting crap on twitter... i say that when and if they finish jailbreak they should post because this gets people more desperate... i really don't wanna know what they have accomplished till now if at the end of their post it says " NO JAILBREAK YET , NO JAILBREAK TODAY " ... i can wait forever but this kind of thing really pisses me off... Just don't say anything about the progress and if your gonna release it do it if your not planning on doing it don't be an ass like GEOHOT , who in my honest opinion was just looking to capture people's attention... ass

Because unlike you they don't care about the JB. They enjoy the process of the work. Finding holes and figuring out clever workarounds to problems. The cat and mouse games, it's the reason they do it. It doesn't matter that the fruits of their labor is functional product that millions of people want, that's just a happy coincident. They do it for the challenge of the work or they wouldn't be doing it at all. But you, like thousands of others, only care about the end result and how it effects you.

Not sure why it's so taboo to ask the developers when it's going to be done. I haven't asked, but it'd be nice if they gave people updates as to what they've done and what they had left. No time frames or anything. Shrug. As long as they're in the scene people will always ask. Just how it is.

Perhaps you failed to read or understand...
They are trying to fix several issues where the JB prevents some core iPhone apps from functioning.
Since they haven't solved the problem, how could they possibly know when it's going to be done. When they solve the problem, then they can finish it and release it.

the actual issue is highlighted.

I'm going to give you the hardest jigsaw puzzle I can find and as soon as I give it to you I want an exact ETA on when you'll be done with it. Oh, did I mention it's not going to be in the box so you don't know what it's suppose to look like. I want an exact time frame too.

I'm sure if it was a few people asking it wouldn't be a problem, but imagine how annoying it is when you have thousands of people asking.

Heck yeah! I've been needing a good jigsaw puzzle in my life... but come on man, give me the box

Estimate and exact don't really go hand-to-hand.

Your twitter skills are lacking. If you look at the post @iH8sn0w was replying, to it's this:

@iH8sn0w Is what this guy is saying true? http://bit.ly/dm3S2L

And what's in the referenced link?

One Response to "When Does the Spirit Jailbreak For 3.2.1 Come Out?"

Madhi12572:
I heard that it's coming out this week or weekend. I did the same thing as u did... I bought my iPad just last week after the new firmware was released. So just keep up online on google and research it very 12 hrs. It should be coming really soon.

In other words, @iH8sn0w was talking about 3.1.2 Spirit, NOT the iPhone 4 Jailbreak.

Estimate and exact don't really go hand-to-hand.

It does when your dealing with public stupidity. If they gave an ETA then people would expect it then and bitch and complain if it wasn't released then. They could give an ETA no doubt but the first unforeseen problem that pushed that back and they would have to deal with the backlash.

And it's hand in hand.

Great analogy. I tried to think of a good one, but couldn't.

Here is MuscleNerd's response to the Twitter by iH8Sn0w about the jailbreak not coming this month.

I didn't mean to create a ruckus but i simply said how i felt about the situation... i do enjoy reading about some of their updates but surely when i read Jailbreak not releasing yet every single day it kinda gets annoying, but even so i do appreciate all the hard work that these people go through for the community. I enjoy my Iphone 4 but with their support its like adding the icing to the cake ;).

America is full of greedy people isn't it?

They wouldn't say it everyday if someone (hundreds of someones) wasn't asking, how annoying do you think that is for them?

Feeling a sense of entitlement, aren't you !

All I hope is that when they do it, they release Mac and Windows tools at the same time.

Doesn't change the fact the they get asked numerous times everyday. That is as annoying as the same questions being asked on here daily.

You're so far off base, it's laughable. I simply said it'd be nice to know what they're working on, and what they (think) they have finished. I made no mention to any sort of temporal measurement. By looking at a puzzle I can gauge how much work I have to do. Such is the same with a jailbreak. You know what needs to be done, so you have at least some measure of progress. Til stuff like FaceTime not working pops up!

Thanks tho!

Might want to reread your post then.

You can gauge how much work is needed but there is no way you can directly quantify that into a time frame.
