What mainly concerns me is that the iPhone gives the illusion that those are user-created scratches/dings. As one user posted earlier, Apple insisted that the user must have created that damage. Imagine a year from now how it'll look, typically with some more wear and tear. If I decide to sell it, those imperfections will definitely affect the resell value. Not only that but I paid for a new phone and it doesn't look like this should have passed quality control in the first place. But if they are all designed to look like that then there's nothing we can do and I would probably end up swapping it out for a matte black. I can't justify keeping a 869.00 phone with imperfections like thatHere's a picture of this very same "issue" on my phone. Not sure if it's a defect or if it's supposed to be this way. My dad received the same phone as me but is not available for me to compare to at the moment. I called Apple nonetheless and sent pictures to a senior advisor who is going to look into the issue. Not really a huge concern for me but if it turns out to be a defect, I at least want it documented so I can get it replaced later on down the line.
