Jet Black WILL scratch easily! BEWARE!

So since people are afraid of these scratches ... Does anyone know what the best Glossy Clear Skin or Coating for the back of this phone is?
DBrand doesn't seem to have a clear skin ...
Never used a skin before so can someone clarify what the best brand to get and best fitting ones are

It's not clear but if they made one in clear... it's amazing how my iPhone in this can drop on concrete and not crack the screen (a few times actually) only the corners of the case got scruffed and some went deep so the phone's surface itself got scratched... but I also had their marble case (for almost 100) and it dropped once... BAM the screen cracked... quite horribly I may add
Get matte black if your ocd, guy reviewing wiped his jet black phone with his shirt and it left a mark because a "particle" was on his shirt or on Device. No thanks! Lol
Well if the leaks or rumors are true and next year's model is a full glass front with no bezels and it ends up looking like one solid slab of glass, and they go with OLED for the display and possibly a dark theme and try to tie it all together, it may be all black...that's a lot of speculation, of course, but if even just the all-glass front comes true, it won't be the same silver and white combo I have long admired. It's a possibility I have to consider.
I did have a silver and white iPad mini so it won't be a complete shame if I never got the silver and white iPhone. But it's something to think about.
Ah I see where you're coming from. Makes sense. I imagine we'd at least have whit too though as we did with the 4 series. Then again I guess colors wouldn't necessarily be off the table then either? Who knows.
Maybe there would be a choice to use an all black interface display or an all white interface. That way you still could have a white front with a silver back?

To the average, reasonable person interpreting Apple's disclaimer, the jet black easily scratches. Period.

Hmm, having looked at your other posts now I think I misread your intention with your last post, I thought you were trying to argue that Apple hadn't prepared people for this. My mistake
I think most people are (and probably should because people don't really care about the difference between 'show scratches easily' and 'scratch easily') going to assume that Apple's telling them that the phone scratches easily, though.General thoughts on BSE? Might pick one up to use alongside the apple leather case or caseless.
I have both of these on the way. Unfortunately, my phone won't arrive until 10-17 October so... yeah.
I don't want to be carrying around a microfiber cloth to wipe my phone, lol that's ridiculous. The Jet Black looks so nice but Apple should have made it more scratch resistant. You know people are gonna be like oooh lemme see the phone and once you show it to them, you gotta whip out the microfiber cloth cause if you wipe it with your shirt...there could be some particles on your shirt that don't agree with the jet black finish and...boom, scratch. LOL. So ridiculous and bougie if you ask me. And if you use a skin, you better get all that dust out. If some gets trapped under, it will look bad. Clear cases create bubbles cause of the oily-ness of the phone...stuff will get in between the case and phone and you'll wanna clean it out...oh wait, better get that microfiber cloth out again. LOL. Matte all the way.

I think Apple should follow Xiaomi and go ceramic next year. This jet black is just a tryout. Ceramic didn't resist smudges on the black Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro but ceramic is supposedly more scratch resistant. But this is Apple. Back to glass next year. Damn it. Back to pretty but fragile designs. Plenty of smashed threads for the iPhone 8.
The 10th anniversary iPhone 8 might just end up being a Samsung Galaxy S7 with no top and bottom bezel and edge to edge but no curves. We will just have to wait for the leaks until May and June of next year. I don't necessarily have high hopes for it but anything can happen. The 7 is turning out to be the stopgap upgrade that Tim Cook warned their shareholders months ago.

Way to take things out of context lol.
I think I'm gonna go with a clear gloss skin on the back and put it in a clear case. Probably an edge to edge glass screen protector on the front. I drop my phone a lot but like the transparent cases because I can still enjoy its beauty.
