WHY didn't they do an Apple-style presentation where Jony Ive talks about the gorgeous curvature and the thinness of the materials or how they thought that they should reinvent the red nose. Think different.

Mr Ive has just helped add one more piece of useless crap to the world.

And here, folks, we have someone that can't see past his own nose. 🤥

(In case you missed it, Red Nose Day is about bringing smiles, laughter and joy to the world. I think present company needs more of those. It's a fund-raiser and helps to raise awareness... see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comic_Relief)

I have to hand it to him, looks a lot more functional than his latest works at Apple.
It's never too late to find your true purpose in life.
Sure he made some interesting design decisions, however, he had nothing to do with the recent iPad 10.9" and HomePod which are both very weird products in their own right. I mean talk about a device that supports a pencil but you can't use it because you need an adapter, and even then if it dies, you can't just plug it into the charging port because it's lightning and the said device is USB-C.

Makes a nice change from the rubber, and much easier to pocket. I do dig the design, it looks very Homepod-y, and uses a lot less plastic

Reading the article I seriously thought the price was going to be somewhere around $100. This has got to be the cheapest thing Ive has ever designed. And, the case isn’t a $29 add-on!

Every school kid and teacher in the country will probably buy one of these, and £2.49 is about the average price for a red nose. When I was a kid they were £1 but that was the 80’s lol. Thankfully Apple aren’t running comic relief the model you suggest would probably be their strategy lol.

It's good to see the world returning back to normal and having a sense of humor. 🤡

But I think he's onto something, all kinds of sensors can be put into that device. 🤓

Technically if we could teach people to breathe through their nose this could be the next mask, I think there was a movie called ultraviolet where they had filters in their nose. 😤👃

I understand how Sir Jonathan Ive want to contribute to the British culture and heritage … Maybe next time the Poppy, the Xmas jumper or a pint of beer …

I don't think Ive is claiming he invented the folding paper technique mate and I haven't seen anything which suggests he has. This is a bit of fun for a good cause and a different spin on the 38 red noses that have been designed since 1985. I understand there is an element of dislike for Ive from Apple fanatics for some strange reason, but this is a British tradition that he knows well and I am glad he has taken part.
If you do not know why some folks on this forum dislike Ive's contributions, you haven't been reading enough posts! 😂😂😂
