I still wonder what we would be using today if Jobs was still alive.
We would have the 4" iPhone at the biggest, along with some beautiful icons with usable UI while Scott Forstall would remain in charge and none of those garbage "flat" design that is spreading like plague across into Mac OS...
Also, none of those motion sickness inducing stupid animation that is still making me suffer every single freakin' day that is completely user unfriendly while only making the computer lag as ____ (insert word of frustration here)

The Apple Rapid Response Team is out in full force. Talking points memos have been circulated. Kind of like the political party they love so much.
Right because no one needs to hear from the people that actually worked with Steve later in his life and knew him intimately. What would you expect Ive to say about a movie that doesn't reflect the person he knew? That's the problem with these movies. You don't get a balanced portrait of the man because those closer to him later in his life and/or those currently working at Apple won't cooperate or contribute. The Steve Jobs of 1984 is not the same man that came back to Apple in 1997.

It seems like they're moving away from the "i"(product), and moving towards "apple"(product) in all their new projects. Maybe too many people are mocking the "i" in their own knock-offs.
i means Internet/information etc. (first appeared in iMac) and is kind of like "Cyberspace" "Information superhighway", terms belong to the 1990s.

Yeah, I know. Making a break with the past, and all that jazz.

It sucks. iPhone iPad iPod etc. is dynamite branding. Using Apple is simply unimaginative, dull and cumbersome. And when I think of Apple Music, Apple Watch etc., I don't exactly savour the sweet smell of success.

Sorry not to mince words, but someone had to say it like it is.

If I've learned anything about Steve, is that he loves you when you're useful and tosses you out when you're not. Since Jony has been kicking ass since day 1, I doubt he ever had to witness the negative side of Steve.

Wait, you were close to Steve? How did he treat you? Man, it must've been great for you to observe how he behaved around others. Any more juicy details?

That would explain the pencil not being called "iPencil", but what about the watch? That seems as much a highway-of-information (if not more) than the "iPod".

Employees getting redundant once they'r no longer valuable to companies? Say whaaaaat? Shocking!

He has on my favorite pair of shoes. I buy a new pair every 5 years or so. Super comfortable. Clark's wallabees if you're interested.

I'm pretty sure I heard that the plans for the iOS redesign happened before Steve Jobs or Forstall even went out. Might be wrong, but just something I wanted to add.

I have been decently satisfied with the progression of iOS, EXCEPT FOR HOW ******* BUGGY AND LAGGY it can be!! My mini 2 is awful, iPhone 6 is eh, especially for only being a year old. Not acceptable. What's worse is that this is on the update that was touted as performing better than before! Yeah, the mini 2 is now 2 years old, "ancient" in terms of mobile technology, but simple things like opening/closing apps, rotating the device, spotlight, THE APP SWITCHER (absolute worst of it all) should not be completely butchered. The iPod 4 on iOS 6 and iPad 1 on iOS 5 perform many of these animations smoother than my iPad mini 2. Just sad.

I agree, it does take away from the simplicity of the name-branding, wether you're spelling or saying it. Maybe the idea is to not spell it "apple watch", but "watch", which feels different.

I think about my mom talking about apple products. "Hey sweetie, can you come help me with my iPod....ipad...iWhatever this thing is".

Thinking about it, "watch" "pencil", etc. sounds less techy and more approachable/understandable while still enforcing the brand.

Doesn't Walter White sport these too?

Someone should gather up all of Jony's selections of products. As one of the most detailed-oriented designers in the world, I'm curious what other products he's discovered to be good enough for his taste. I always liked those blue button-ups and light khakis he always wearing around.

Oh, and Steve used to talk about a specific pen that he loved, but I never figured out what. Anyone?

This Johnny Ive guy, given his promoted status, really needs to be given a window office facing the incoming sun. Right now, he's stuck in the bowels of his ultra secret laboratory that does not see the light of day. That way, Johnny can appreciate how disgusting it is to use his glossy screens in offices that are streaming with sunlight. Some office workers are assigned desks by their company, and so it's not a solution to tell people to just shift their computers to a place with less glaring sunlight.

What I'm saying is, Apple needs to give us the option of anti-glare screens.

I am not saying everyone needs these, so don't tell me how you love glossy screens.

I am just asking for the option, for those people that do need them.

Ive also commented on his new role as Chief Design Officer, saying that he "should have done this years ago" and that he hasn't felt "this happy and creative in years and years." Ive's new role, which he officially assumed on July 1, allows him to be more hands-off with day-to-day operations in addition to focusing on new ideas and future initiatives. Ive's day-to-day management of the design team has been turned over to Alan Dye, vice president of user interface design, and Richard Howarth, vice president of industrial design.

I wish Apple had a Chief Quality Officer.

What's with all these articles lately and their desperate attempt to make Steve Jobs look like a good guy?

Many years ago, Steve was know to strike fear into employees. Apparently, he could send fear through six layers of management and people were afraid to get in an elevator with him. He was also greatly revered. He was focused on crazy good products and pushed people to be better than they ever thought they could be.

We will have to see what this film is like. If the Woz said it was pretty spot on and he forgot he was watching an actor play Jobs, then what other proof positive do you need?

I'm sure Steve loved and totally trusted his close executive team. So, surely they loved him and did not see his other side.
