Will post pics tonight. For those of you in other time zones, remember, I am in California.
Oh! And just so y'all know......I am quite possibly, the world's worst photographer.

Can't be that bad. Not unless you shot an entire wedding with a cell phone cam (one of my sister in law's "photographer" friends did....yeah, they looked beyond awful, the married couple was pissed.).

My case is now in Bloomington, CA wherever that is! Thought I'd update you all, I'm sure your day is now complete. :p

Alright, really need to stop fooling around and actually do some work.

Have a great day!

Well, if I was the one shooting the movie, the camera would probably have been facing backwards.:p Hope the newlyweds had a backup Photog!

Newly found patience? Lol I don't think ill ever be a patient person. Just not in my nature I guess. I do hope I love this case. Seems to be everything I'm looking for. I just hope the magnets work. That's my biggest concern actually. That and the fit. I hope they tested it out on an actual iPad 3gen. Looking forward to your opinion on it. :)

Sheesh - have you by any chance been sipping from the Kelly Cup? You seem to have caught her bug:eek:

When I spoke to them, the way they described the magnets for the new iPad, it seems like the case was specifically designed for the current device, and is not one of those that claim to "work" with iPad 2 and 3.
Oh Kelly - by any li'l chance, are you an only child?
Now....I don't mean to make y'all nash your teeth......buuuut.......my case has ARRIVED! :pUnfortunately, it's sitting at Hubby's office, so I won't see it until about 5PM.

I'm sorry - I just pop in and out on these threads and I knew some people were getting theirs today and was curious.

The case looks great and I thought about buying it, but then remembered that I had my ipad engraved and didn't want to cover that. In case it's lost, it basically gives my email address to contact me... If I didn't have that, I'd definitely get the joy factory case though...

You shouldn't let that be the deciding factor for your case. You can always edit the pic on your lock screen, adding a text box with your info, in case it gets lost.

Have you gotten your case yet? I'm very interested to hear your opinion while I jealously wait for mine to arrive tomorrow!

Sooo I got my case. I absolutely LOVE IT!!:D:D:D
The profile is ultra slim, but at the same time, the iPad feels completely protected because of the way the shell covers the entire rear of the device. Very often, with hard-shell cases, there are exposed areas in the corners or somewhere else on the perimeter of the iPad. (you'll see this in the pics below, what overall protection it offers.)

The front cover with the 4 folds, as opposed to 3, that many cases have when mimicking the Apple smart cover - these provide the stability that I need for upright viewing; the position is held perfectly, with one caveat. If I was on a plane, during turbulence, I would not want the iPad in this position. But for daily movie/picture viewing, it's perfect.

The overall quality of the manufacture is really outstanding. Now, keep in mind, this is NOT a leather case, but I honestly like the textured surface; this is not a case that will accidentally slide out of your hands; it has a nice "grippy" texture. It does have a slight odor, especially when it first comes out of the bag, but this does not worry me, and I am sure it will dissipate in time. (My Sister's JF case that she bought last year showed this to be true.)

Another great feature - the front cover folds back flat, and the magnets keep it in place, a great feature for reading books. The sleep-wake function is only triggered when the cover is closed onto the face of the iPad, NOT when it is folded to the rear. This was a concern of mine, so I'm relieved they implemented this so well.

Would I recommend this case? Absolutely!!:D:D
Pics to follow, I'm just going to resize them.

I ordered the bronze a couple weeks ago. I am looking forward to the reviews and pics! Thanks laurenr.

Here are the pictures. Like I said, I truly am a terrible photographer, so please excuse any and all reflections, imperfections, bad lighting etc.

The iPad in the upright position:

Laying flat, with the cover opened:

Cover folded completely back on itself. When holding the device, magnets will maintain this position, without triggering sleep/wake function:

Rear shell of the case; you can see how completely covered it is, no exposed areas, which is what attracted me to the case:

Front, showing the 4 folds:

one more pic next post.

I wanted to show the ports. I see on many cases that the area by the speaker is in the form of a cutout, exposing the corner of the pad. This one encloses that corner perfectly, and also, will not easily pop off, as I experienced with a different case last year:

7.jpg

Another great point - the material that covers the rear shell, does not extend all the way, to be tucked OVER the rim, as was the method for example, of the Targus case my Hubby had last year. His peeled away from all four corners within 6 months of purchase. Instead, the Joy Factory case has a kind of "rim" that the material meets, and it is this rim that clips around the iPad perimeter.....y'all know what I mean??

Hope everything was clear? Let me know if any prospective "deliverees" have any questions. Kelly.... I know you are 3 hours ahead, so hope you're not tossing and turning 'cause ya thought I had forgotten.:p

Edit:typing angle pics to follow....I forgot them...:)

Laurenr,

Thanks for the thorough review. I must admit, I was probably anxiously awaiting your review like Kelly. Your review and pics have just helped me make up my mind -- I want a Joy Factory case. The problem now is figuring out which one.

I was contemplating getting a Smart Cover and coupling that with a Speck Smartshell, but I think I like the idea of a one piece unit better.
