No across the board. Not a single one proven invalid by Samsung.

Invalidity. Another biggie.

Hopefully Samsung stops producing components for Apple products over this. Hit them where it hurts...

And then they'd be sued, and lose, for breach of contract. Apple is gradually shifting suppliers. It's like turning a ship, though. It takes time.

we'll get them elsewhere. Samsung tried a different method for the Galaxy Note 10.1 other than copying Apple and it turned out to be a pile of dung. get used to it.

Why would they do that... They have probably made more from selling components to Apple than any damages they'll have to pay in damages.

It would be a case of cutting your nose off to spite your face.

Even if they wanted to, they can't. They have contracts that they are legally bound to.

Regardless, Apple is a huge contract for Samsung. They just invested 4 billion into a plant that almost exclusively does Apple processors. They didn't do that so that for the hell of it.

It's the thought that counts.

I think they can still expect to pay damages on every one sold that infringed. Plus, it will change how they design future devices and deal with Apple's IP--that is they will probably choose to pay apple royalties instead of fight these legal battles after the fact.

But, I'm sure it's not over. Samsung, has options and some of these patents may be invalidated should samsung choose to go that direction. We'll see what happens, but this will drag on for some time I'm sure.

The trade dress is a bit of a setback, though. Only the original and 3G are protected. I guess the 3GS and 4 designs aren't protectable.
