Just got my Apple Leather Case
As long as you agree that what you wear is dictated by the company image and not fine taste and style then we are good. Some boardrooms of fine companies don't care, period.
IBM use to demand the house, suit and clubs one belonged to. Had little to do with good taste.

That would make sense if not for the fact that the iPhone 6 in Space Grey in it's Black leather case is just about the finest example of 'taste' that Apple currently provides.

Subjective my friend. While I think Apple's case is nice, the leather quality doesn't exactly scream premium. There's better options outside of Apple to show off how much money you have. IE; https://www.calypsocrystal.com/calypsocase/cabrio-iphone-6-case/
Not sure why you're being so prissy about this. Black on Space Grey is fine. People here are just trying to enlighten you that brown and space grey is fine too and equally at home in a board room. Trust me I know first hand. And both are fine on your retirement ranch.
Are we really arguing about a case on a phone and what color both are? WTF? Some people like brown, others like black, some like some other color and some people like multiple colors. It's your personal preference. No right or wrong. As for not being able to use it with a certain color in a board room, what company currently does that today? That is messed up. Not Apple, that's for sure. Jobs walked around in worn jeans and a turtleneck and running shoes. You can't get much more casual that that.
Anything along these lines of premium leather cases? This one looks rather nice.
I had that for my iPhone 5... but it looked so awful near the end. I might buy it later because I really like the red color. I understand that the appearance will change and I think leather patinas are beautiful. But the way my case looked was just bad.
Are you implying that if you showed up with a brown case on your phone, you would lose your $400k salary? Seriously?
Realize the lip is not perfectly aligned when put face down on a surface. The top left corner of my casing wobbles when I tap on it.

I think I'll be returning my leather case for a silicone one today or tomorrow.
There is a wear mark above the camera lens hole. It looks like the leather is peeling.

My black case on my 6 Plus does the same! It's on the same side, but closer to the bottom. I can hear and feel it creak. I'm going to exchange it. Did you get yours exchanged?
haven't returned it yet, but i probably will tomorrow for a black or white silicone case.
If you are a business executive or are into finely crafted German automobiles go Black.
If you are a college student or are into eco-friendly Hybrid's go Brown.
When you have a leather case, it's just like any other leather accessory- you match it to your shoes and your belt. If you're wearing black dress shoes and sharp business casual wear you need a complimentary iPhone case. Same if you wear brown cowboy boots and jeans. It all depends on your lifestyle.

I'm a 50 year old Senior Vice President in the Manhattan corporate world. Not sure what stage of life you're in or where you live, but that's how it works in my ecosystem.
If by that you mean upwardly mobile ladder climbing corporate elitists, then, yes, I guess that is true. Until the iPhone and it's mass appeal, Apple existed on offering premium products at a higher price to a niche audience. Not everyone on MacRumors is a college student selling their iPhone 4 to scrape together the dollars to get an iPhone 6.
Shouting "troll" at contributing forum Apple owners simply because you disagree with their opinions is trolling.

I have the black leather case for my 6 Plus. It is actually more rigid than my Incipio Dual Pro case. The dual pro, unfortunately, is more flexible by the volume rockers compared to the leather case. The Incipio case is going back.
