just installed iOS5, if you have any questions:

glad to hear many thumbs up on iOS 5!

I was quite installing it but skype is blocking the green light for me, it's the only app I need to have working full throttle on my 'betaphone'.
Has anyone feedback on how, or if!, is working? Wonder esp. if backrounding is allright with the new notification system.

Guys, who else is having Safari in Black on the iPad?



I can't understand it cause every screenshot that I've seen shows standard color scheme...

I suspect they haven't got the licenses sorted to do music outside of the US yet, hence no re-download of music purchases, no auto-download of music purchases, and no syncing of music outside of the US for the moment.

I don't know if this is already asked but what I wanna know is.. Can I use my @me.com account for backup.. and use a different account I have for my appstore (without the backup function).. I know in settings the appstore and iCloud are not together so it seems like this can work..

because I use a shared iTunes account with my dad..

Has anyone tried using iMessage on edge? I know apple said it works on 3G/WIFI but what happens when you are not but the other phone thinks you are? Will it send as an SMS then?

Anyone have a Ford Sync system? Can they test wether the bluetooth MAP profile has been added to the bluetooth stack in iOS 5.

Basically, does the text message feature work now with the Sync system?
 
Working well on iPhone 4 so far.... loving the simple photo editor and photo album creation. Questions so far!

1. Is the LED message notification available yet?
2. I assume you can't show the weather on the lock screen at all times?
3. Can you create a new tweet? I thought I'd seen that somewhere?
4. Are the SMS tones you can purchase all 'song' based rather than tones?

If you are using ios 5 beta on multiple iphone 4's, do you all have to use the same apple id?

1. I think so, its in accessibility. It's not meant to be a general user feature, it's for the hearing impaired so you will find it there.

2. Probably not. Apple's idea of widget is "thing that runs in the notification bar"

3. Not sure what you mean. Doesn't signing into the baked in twitter offer to download the official twitter app? Figured you would just go there to make new tweets.

4. I don't think this part of the store is active yet, at least, i haven't seen it mentioned anywhere. It sounds like it will be a tone store, so I'm guessing more tone than song, then again, I could be wrong.

I also cannot get the LED flash notifications to function? :S
 
Does the LED message indicator (or whatever it's called) mean the flash?

I guess, if nothing else, it could be a very good indicator that iPhone 5 will at least have an LED on the front or something - possible the whole home button?

Yes and perhaps. It's really meant as a feature for the hearing impaired so who knows.
 
Finally got my Developer account verified. Installed on a few of the family iPhones and an iPad 2 as well......and damn it's awesome. Makes me not miss Android anymore, the notifications are awesome. It does not seem to be eating battery to me. And for whoever asked, I was on Edge today at lunch, and it may have taken a bit longer to send, but it went no problem as long as I had data.

Thanks for the info! I thought the twitter function would be more part of the OS not a 3rd part app? Although I see theres an option in photos now.

Also, is new mail showing up on the lockscreen for anyone?

Thanks! Speed doesn't matter as long as it is reliable and actually works

Yes, and it flashes four times every couple seconds when the phone is ringing (only when the phone is locked). It's BRIGHT!!!

There is no quick tweet if that is what you mean. But its more integrated as a sharing service - photos,vids,YouTube,safari etc.

All notifications shows up fine on lock screen including mail.
