i think it's dumb that when you add a photo from the camera roll to an album it leaves that photo in the camera roll too and if you delete it from the camera roll it deletes it from the album.

+1 on this one.

I rejoiced when I saw this feature and went through and moved all of the wallpapers I had saved from here into a new folder then went through my camera roll and cleared them all out.

No more saved wallpapers.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Camera Roll is a compilation of all of the photos and images stored on your device (including those downloaded, screen shots, and, obviously, the ones taken with the camera).

The albums feature is a way to separate pictures on your device so they're easier to find (such as "Vacation 2011", "Ski Trip", etc.). While it's a matter of opinion that they should be removed from the Camera Roll once they've been placed in an album, when you think of it in the way it was intended, it makes more sense :)

Camera Roll is where photos taken with the camera and saved from Safari are placed.

You're thinking of Photo Library.

Ha, same thing happened to me. Copied a bunch of photos to a new folder and wondered why they didn't "move" there like you expect with any OS, so I went back and deleted them.

Bye-bye pics.

IOS seems to be lagging a bit in keeping up to date with the latest Bluetooth features -- for example, AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) in IOS4 is at 1.0, which allows basic control of the media player via bluetooth, but no metadata. Quite a few of the latest blackberries and android phones on the market seem to be on at least 1.3 already... My car has a (completely useless and distracting, but still cool to tinker with) "office" feature which interfaces with the phone for calendar/email/sms, but IOS is not up-to-date enough to support that. There's no way in hell I'd move off of IOS right now to get those features, but it'd be nice to have.

Can anyone with access to the IOS5 beta check and see if they've updated the bluetooth profile? (Not sure exactly how to check though...)

Can you create reoccurring calendar appointments? For instance every 3rd Thursday of each month. Is this possible?

Seems that notifications for Reminders aren't working yet. I've got a couple tasks that I set for all day today and I've received no notifications or badges.

Maps is also crashing when I attempt to view a profile after searching.

Edit: After checking in the Notifications menu, it seems badges aren't an option for Reminders (yet).

You can set recurring events, but only by daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and yearly. Nothing as specific as "every third Thursday of each month."

Well, my Mazda3 uses AVCRP 1.3 to display song info on its dashboard display during bluetooth playback. iOS4 didn't support this. I started my car up this morning, eager to see if Apple had updated to 1.3 to support this. Negative. :(

So, I can't tell what AVCRP profile it's on, but it's probably not 1.3.

i can't add a reminder by "location" - what gives? i am on 3gs and i see no settings anywhere for this option! eeek!

Dangit! Thanks for checking...

Hey guys,

I know this question has probably been asked already but there's 21 pages here lol. Anyone know where the iCloud login page is? Or is it US only? (I have a VPN to the US) so links/info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Bluetooth, SMS Delivery, Widget API, ...

Hi,
This is my first post here on MacRumors.:) I hope to get my answers.:D I have a few questions regarding iOS 5.
1) Is it available to send files or photos via Bluetooth to other devices? (Not necessarily iDevices)
2) Do we have this basic feature of SMS Delivery Notification or it's limited to iMessage bubbles?
3) Can developers make apps that show some updates in Notification Center such as Weather and Stocks app?
4) Is it possible to add a music file to iPod without needing to sync? For example an attached mp3 in mail ...
5) Can someone please check if any new language or keyboard such as Persian of Farsi is added?
6) How does the Open In feature work here? Does it copy the same file in each app you open?
7) Can Safari download files or we should use third party apps?

Thank you all so much in advance

Facetime Activation

Is it possible to activate Facetime via email in iPhone or it's limited to phone number?

It's not live yet.

Yes, and the opposite

When you try to send a message (SMS or iMesaage) does the system still say "Unable to send message, try aain later" or whatever, or does the message just get queued and automatically sent later?

I don't see a similar thread in the iPad forum so I'll ask it here. In the new Music player for iPad did Apple do away with the album artwork filling up the entire screen when you select a new song?

it wont auto go to it when u play the song but if u want i can tap the smaller album and it will do that

How is the reminder app? Has anyone found it to be useful? I usually just use the calendar, but I think getting alerts when in a specific GPS location would be useful.

Has anyone managed a full back to iCloud yet. Mine just seems to stay on "less than one minute remaining" for ages!

Sorry if this has been asked, but how do iMessages work on an iPod or wifi iPad?

Question is if you receive a message while out of wifi range, how quickly does iMessage alert you to a missed message? If the iPod is in your pocket and you walk into a wifi hotspot, does it alert you right away, or do you have to unlock it, or do you have to open iMessage, or what?

I know that with push email on and fetch set to manual it will not alert you right away upon walking into a hotspot, but rather at a seemingly random time that it checks for new emails, or when you recieve a new email while in wifi range and at that time it will push all missed emails.

Anyone with an iPod, wifi iPad, or iPhone/3G iPad with airplane mode on and WiFi on able to answer please? I know it's a bit of work.

Is is true that now on the iPhone there is a separate app for music (called music) and a separate app for videos? If yes, could you please show a screenshot.
